640 horsepower, 200 mph top speed, seats four.
I am disappointed that there is no manual transmission option mentioned, but I won't complain until I drive the 8-speed auto.
If you had told me in 1987 that I would be lusting after a Cadillac, I would have laughed you out of the room. Now, I'd rock most of their product line, especially the ATV-V and CTS-V and the hope-they-release-it Escalade-V.
I know they will sell a ton of these but Cadillac get off your but and make something like this.
The XLR was passable.
Just build a wagon. I know the business case isn't there, but the amount of good press surrounding the previous V wagon was staggering. A V sedan is cool, a V wagon is special.

I *like*.
So, whats the status of the Northstar? is it not being replaced? Seems they are back where the first Cts_v was, using the LS. Sure works well, and to be is preferable, but I suspect many here would say not enough valves & complexity? ;)
Northstar production stopped in July 2010, most of the V6s they use make more power than the Northstar. V6s are also multivalved complex engines.
Why not use the LT1(Z06) engine? If you can make the power without the multi-valves and other complexities, why wouldn't you use it. Not that I would call the new LT1 a simple engine. But it works quite well. Now if they could just get the prices a bit lower.
My mouth is watering, my pants are fitting funny, and I'm asking myself if I really need two kidneys. So yeah. #want.

I wanted that wagon I saw in "Hit and Run" and then I saw the price
I like it. Hopefully they make a coupe version that is better looking the the current one.
Problem is the price. $70k starting price is a lot of coin for this car. The same car - inside and out but with a lesser 450 hp v8 motor at $55k would be great.
Also, an auto only trans would kill any and all lust I have for it.

It's coming, from what I may or may not have heard

Well, I'm sure it's meant to compete with M5s and such, so the price isn't really out of line. It's WAY out of my price range, but maybe in 10 years or so....
There is a cheaper version, the CTS V-sport, that has a twin-turbo V6 with 400-some horsepower.
