You must be popular at parties.
I have been working on this vintage Japanese two stoke has been super relaxing. So well build. Super bonus points to anyone who can ID it.

That's one of my favorite strips of all time. I think one of the really early ones about a Zerg rush remains my favorite.

I would love an RD or an RZ...but the motor I'm working on is not part of one of them.
Did you see my response? I included one of the above, but also had another guess.

Not a Yamaha , but starts with the right letter. Think fewer wheels.

I was explicitly told by my wife not to die. Told her I've wanted to try a hydro for years and I need to do it before I get "old". A friend of mine builds them. The motor pictured is a 77 ish Yamato 80, it weighs 80lbs makes 30hp and should propel a small hydroplane to about 60mph.

When it's done bring it on by. I've always wanted a lil hydroplane and now have the perfect place to run it right in front of my home.

That's awesome. They ran those on the Fox River in Appleton a few times when we lived up there (IIRC if was more of the flat bottom "cocktail class").
Umm, Banshee, RZ, and RD are all basically identical bottom ends.
I was having a hard time because there was no transmission. Now we know.

I looked at building a cocktail class as well as a sea flea which are the most popular home built boats. But you can buy a retired race boat for 1000$ or so.
The motors are the hard part, was only able to afford this because a deal was given and it had a trashed rod bearing.
