Garage fire took out Rusty.

RIP Rusty.
Before. After is even worse. It's sad. The man created something awesome out of nothing, and now it's gone. Oh well... ingenuity like that can't be stopped.
The gold Ronals died...how sad.
At least the 18 inch BBS RS are okay.
That car created a movement. As much as I would hate to drive it, it looks damn cool.

I didn't see that... from what i can tell, the car was up on jack stands pretty much completely disassembled.
Got a link?

Article said he lost everything save for a set of BBS Prototypes... ALL his wheels where in that garage.
M.Burroughs said: All of the wheels that I own, except for the BBS Prototypes, were in the garage. The car itself looks pretty bad and probably isn't salvageable, but we won't know until we're able to pull it out of the garage. It's visibly damaged.
Here's the build thread.... Pretty awesome story, looking past the controversy of the car itself.

i think fish fry = insurance lightning strike? i'm not the one suggesting that's what this is, so don't hate on me.
Sucks that he lost an art project - even if I really, really don't dig hella flush stuff - (camber god's revenge?) he made it interesting to look at. I'm glad he's ok.
It's always sad when an enthusiast suffers a loss like this, but I have to agree with Mr. Brown here. How does one have an open 5 gallon gas container sitting in the open anyways, let alone tries working on a suspect car right in front of it? I know we've all done some stupid stuff sometimes, but this one does smell a little like seafood...
He wasn't working on the car... was turning over a gas-locked motor in the driveway.
I dunno... i see what you guys are saying, but i know from experience, i've done far dumber.

I hope so... He used to/might still have an old 6-series that looked pretty awesome if you were into that kind of stuff as well.
What i'd REALLY like to see is him to bring "Rusty" back, but fully understand that it may not be worth it if the frame is too damaged from heat.
Oh wow, no E36 M3...that sucks, I mean as much as I hate hearing "stanced" that sucks and all the wheels!!!!!!!
I got to see it at H20 last year, and got to see him lay frame lol the one night there driving by one of the parking lot meets.
Mike is fine and he's built some sweet rides, some too "forum" compared to others but it's just stance/hellaflush/illest/hard parking/cambered/ etc that I hate
