So we moved into a new house this weekend. I finally get my 3 car garage and SHMBO gets a big kitchen and house. After we moved in I set out to epoxy the floor.
I got some concrete etch to prep the floor. This process was a whole lot easier than I thought it would be. I bought a 1 gallon pump sprayer to cover the floor with acid. This didn't take too long maybe about an hour and a half. The long process was waiting for the floor to dry. Lucky the weather cooperated and it didn't rain so around 24 hours later the floor was completely dry.
I used a Florida based paint manufactures epoxy paint which I think came out really good. They have a full spectrum of colors to choose from, i kinda just picked this color out of random because I didn't just want to do the grey or tan that is in every kit.

I'd have made the whole downstairs a garage and workshop since its block wall, then build a second floor and live up there.....
That's a purdy garage! pretty high ceiling, too!
nice, the third garage at my parents has a similar setup on the doors, they put up hanging wire racks for storage above the door, works great. otherwise you could have the door run up the wall to the ceiling and have clearance for a lift

Must be a bitch to heat!
I think you mean cool. This is Florida where the winters are warm and the summer is hot. I wanted to AC the garage but way too much $$$. I did however get insulated garage doors so that should help a little bit.
Nice, dude!!! Love the floors!!!
In reply to jonnyd330:
Look into mini split heat pumps. They are surprisingly cheap, like sub $500 cheap and easy to install.
Oh yeah, Nice Floor! I'm jealous.
I finally did a little work in the basement this weekend. It's going to be a huge undertaking just to get the E36 M3 out so I can finish the floors, but those pics are inspiring! (thumbsup)
Mama is loving me for shimming the subfloor so the floors don't creak (something that doesn't bother me at all, but drives her INSANE!) I like squeaky doors and floors. Nobody can sneak up on me!

Info please? I really need to do this to my garage floor and would welcome advice on paint options.

So I checked out the kits at the big box stores and was disappointed with the cost and color selection so I did more research. Through garage journal I found a local company out of Sarasota that make paint and they have a line of epoxy products.
I was able to get 4 gallons of 2 part epoxy for just over $200 which would cover my 620 sq ft floor. This is a high gloss finish paint that I was informed by the desk clerk all the local garage floor painting companies use this product.

918 SCOTT-TILE INDUSTRIAL FINISH EPOXY GLOSS ENAMEL
I found this by way of this thread from another Sarasota local. His garage is the size of my whole house, pretty impressive.
Some awesome pictures in his build thread if you haven't seen it.

that doesn't quite make sense, unless the single door on the wall by itself is a fake, there should be another rollup starting about where the regular door left center is. and thats a lot of exterior swinging doors for one area (3)
Thanks for the link. My dad has quite a large garage, about 2000 sq ft, and this would really transform it.
