...has started filming.. I am happy about this.

Clarkson blamed the hiatus on all of the singing shows on the BBC.
I guess I'll look forward to the US season, then. It would be nice if they do fewer "challenges" and do a bit more driving of cool cars, though...
We put ourselves on the waiting list for tickets for e36m3's and giggles, the 19 year long waiting list...
I want to see them as guest judges - or participants - in a GRM $201x challenge. This is not at all unreasonable. Rutledge is aware of the contest and seems interested.

Actually, that would be cool, there would be something there for all of them.
But in all honesty, it would be cool if they participated, because building a car that cost $2012 total and then putting it through its paces, sounds like a Top Gear challenge to me.

Yes. Agreed. The comedian (who's name escapes me) would probably find a way to cheat, though.

Adam.
Yes, it would be a great challenge.
Even if they were judges, though, think how fun it would be to have Tanner as one of the expert drivers, talking about the speed of Andy Nelson's car, and what supercar it feels like.
So... who do we have send what letter where to get them to attend?
Are they placed outside of the normal judging category if they participate? They're probably going to require a significant amount of outside, paid help to get one or three challenge cars built around a busy filming schedule.
I think it would be better if they didn't bring a car but were judges or drivers and maybe did cameos of some of the cars. You know, if they just reported it.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!
I'll say again--why the hell is Rutledge not on this board?!

Someone said they were on another board with him. Apparently they aren't pulling their weight in getting him over here.
I just sent him a pm on ratsun, I'm operating under the assumption that he will discard it as rabid fan mail though lol

Adam would probably build a P71.

I'm thinkin' 3rd gen f-body.
Yeah, actually the plan was to start a petition to get him to the Challenge and then sticky THAT thread, but it's been crazy here on deadline so in the meantime we just pegged this one up.
If'n you have a minute to START that thread, that would be extra-cool....

Before there was a TGUS, I thought about the TGUK guys joining the Challenge and Lemons since the seem to frequently visit the US lately. But now theres a TGUS and the show is getting better its probably more doable
I actually prefer this to the UK show, but thats because I can't watch the UK show at home on the telly.
