Where can you see some of biggest names in hip hop music perform all in the same place–and for the low price of free? Look no further than the Hip Hop 50 Block Party Festival, Powered by American Wheelman.
It's set for Saturday, August 12, at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Who can you expect to see perform?
The lineup includes KRS-One of Boogie Down Productions; Chuck D of Public Enemy; Wise Intelligent of Poor Righteous Teachers; Talib Kweli of Black Star; Hakim Green of Channel Live, Large Professor; along with Grandmaster Caz, EPMD, Kurtis Blow and many other hip hop heavyweights as well as fan favorite emcees and DJs, including Grandmaster Flash and Kid Capri.
In addition to the live performances, there will also be b-boys, b-girls, beat boxers, graffiti artists, muralists and American Wheelman Racing’s own Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport on display–on a spinning pedestal of course–that will be spray-painted by the “world-renowned graffiti artists of the Tats Cru.”

It seems to work for IndyCar in Nashville for the Music City Grand Prix. It definitely brings in music fans that would otherwise not be familiar with the sport.

Uhhh...Gridlife?
I’m thinking way more, like why not have a band play at our autocrosses? A friends’ surf band once played at the Jax cars and coffee, and it was perfect.

Oh I like this game. I'll share, too:
Also wish I could make it out to this festival.
