Here’s my 2008 entry for the 24hrs of LeMons. Didn’t make the cut for the May 10th event at AMP, but we’re shooting for a spot in the December 27th event at our “home” track, Thunderhill where we finished 17th last December with Team Festivus. After a disappointing 36th place finish at Thunderhill 2008, we had a much better 18th place finish at Buttonwillow ‘09. We’ve been accepted to the Thunderhill ‘09 event coming in Nov. 21/22nd where we’re hoping to finish much better at our “home” track!

Uh... Ok, I'll try to post the correct link this time! http://blog.ricerocketracing.org
Work on the LeMon is coming along nicely! Got two bad tranny's siamesed into one "decent" tranny and got it re-installed in the car this weekend. Got new braided brake lines installed, now all we need to do is get the "hand-me-down" header and intake manifold re-installed.
Ding dong, the Fast & Furiouser Spartan Spearman 280ZX LeMon is dead. In March 2010 LeMons event, one of our driver's made contact with a Mercedes in Turn 8 at Thunderhill at around 85 mph and spun sideways off the track rolling the car and then cartwheeling it into the dirt completely destroying the undercarriage. This one is dead. We've pulled all the salvageable parts out of the car and put them in our new LeMons contestant, a 1973 Datsun 240Z! See you at the track!
