My $500 76 Datsun 280Z. It came with 6 bent valves and a fair amount of rust. Turns out the car was mostly bondo with lots of rot. In 2012 I entered it in the Babe Rally and in 2015 its now a Lemons car. Stock L28 with unknown miles 5 speed swap with broken reverse and bad 2-3 syncro 3.90 300zx rear diff Body is 2 gallons of bondo plus some fiberglass Racing Green metallic spray bomb and white marine Rustoleum
Here you have THE car that I want to restore as well. I've been looking for a 77 (because my bro was born that year) 280z for some time now, just haven't found the right one yet. You got one that looks to be in pretty good shape from the outside and its the racing green which is a great color. I'm excited to see what you will do with the car, good luck and take care!
