All overweight girl jokes aside, I get more compliments (and goggle eyed stares) riding this thing than anything else I’ve ever been in/on. It’s slow, it’s incredibly unreliable…heck, it’s a moped…but still so very, very cool!
I rode one from 1977 (middle school) through (junior high) 1980. My parents would not let me have an enduro like the rest of my friends, so it went offroading alot! Mine was an older model than what you have there. Your's looks to bee in good shape, can you get any parts for it?
I purchased a used engine for it off ebay before I got it running (the old one was stuck...and how!). Just a couple weeks ago, I bought a carburetor (again, used) off a nice individual on mopedarmy.com and got it back on the road. I purchased a new petcock for it last year (I forget which online supplier it came from...but it was out there). So...yeah, much like all the other obsolete stuff I've had, parts are out there, but you have to work for it.
I'll be riding this for St. Patrick's day hooliganry this evening! It's Green!
