That shop looks familiar. I might actually know the guy selling it. Anyway, if anyone is interested, I can probably look at it for you.

That car doesn't need a thing other than a drivetrain and whatever other bare minimum parts are required to make it stop/go/turn under its own power!!!

From the pics it looks like it's all there, but in many, many pieces.
I bet it wouldn't cost that much more to restore this versus an MGB but you'd be way ahead in the value department when you're done. I could be wrong, of course.
Wow. I've seen way worse A's sell for way more!
If it's still around in early February I may be taking a road trip...

If I have free time, I will--staying at the Casino. Unfortunately, it is looking like free time will not be available.
I looked at the car last Saturday for Paul, and he just sent me a message telling me he's out, so I'll post the summary I sent to him.
So I looked at the MGA today. It's got a fair amount of rust, but nothing structural. It's all there minus the decklid and the windshield. He said when he got it the body was off of the frame (and it's actually just sitting on it now) and it looked like the frame had recently been gone through and painted. No rust on the chassis. As far as the rust goes, the trunk pan is pretty much gone. There's some rot where the fenders meet the body, and the rear fenders are rusted pretty badly down low. They'd either need to be replaced or have a patch panel welded in. The doors have some rot at the bottom inside, but the seam is nice and the door skins are aluminum. The tail panel looks like it may have been bumped at one time, as it looks like it's kind of rolled under at the very bottom. The rockers and hinge pillar are totally rust-free. He said the original floors were wood, but the previous owner took the wood floors out and put in sheet metal floor pans, and lowering them while he was at it to give more head room. It actually looks like it was pretty well done. The engine turns over fine by hand. All the chrome trim, grille, and bumpers are in pretty nice shape. They've got some minor dings here and there, but a good bumper restoration place could pretty easily have them looking new again. The dash is all there and the gauges are in really nice shape. It also comes with a fiberglass front valance that's not original, but he said he held it in place and it looks pretty good in it. The original wood trim is there too and in good condition, but would obviously need to be refinished. It comes with a clean Indiana title. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but if I left any questions unanswered, let me know!
Here's a photobucket album of all the close up pics I took. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/cheezus/library/MGA
