When I was shopping for a Ford 302 & T5 for my new track car, I lucked into a really good 1991 Foxbody Mustang that has been nicely refreshed. Details are at the website link above.
I am willing to sell the roller to a fellow GRM-er for $1,000. (This is a Friend price and I will be trying to sell it locally for $1,500.) If you are an interested GRM-er, please contact me by sending a PM through this site.
I will be keeping the transmission/clutch/shifter, driveshaft, battery, engine, engine harness, ECU and ECU harness, intake, headers and O2 harness, and all the engine accessories except the power steering pump.
Thanks for looking.
So this thing is the green 'stang minus the driveline? holy cow that thing looks too clean to do that to. GLWS
Can't believe I've been reading this mag for 11+years, but this immediately got me thinking of this story. GRM 'Stang project
This could be a challenge car, correct? Or is a drivetrain more expensive than I am thinking? I forget, is transport cost figured into the budget?
That easily could be a challenge car, 'Stang stuff is cheap. Transport costs are included.
But if you were say going to visit family that lived nearby/south of him, and you happened to bring a trailer. Theoretically you were going there any way.
And only the side trip cost would hit the budget.
Thanks for the kind words.
I think the "value" of this Mustang-minus-driveline is higher than the asking price.
But I think actually getting paid that value is a different issue. Unfortunately I'm too busy to part it out. And the typical Foxbody mustang project car person in this area just doesn't have much of a budget to work with. So, I think $1500 is the most I can hope for through Craigslist.
The $501 discount for GRM friends is just because you guys are so cool, and I would like to see this vehicle go to a good parking spot.
Thanks guys!
Sold it for $1,000 to a nice man up north, who is going to drive 1,930 miles round trip to pick it up this weekend.
Apparently, rust-free examples are hard to find.
