Almost cream puff. $1,000
http://'91 GT $250. This I might take a looky loo at. Let's try this link instead.
I actually liked these, and am I allowed to say: I don't even care whether it has a 4 or 6 cylinder engine?
My experience with very similar Corsicas is that you need to keep a tube of Superglue handy to re-attach the parts (usually in the interior) that come loose.
I found one locally a few months ago on CL, but when I tried to re-locate it...I couldn't find it.
The tech school I attended in Kentucky had an auto shop which fielded a tube-chassis Beretta drag car.
A friend of mine had a GTZ that he used to autocross, too. Pretty sure another friend of mine still has it sitting in his garage awaiting resurrection.
The GTZ had a ton of potential, the V6s were quick but had a weak trans. Iron Duke... well...
TheRX7project:
These didn't use the Iron Duke, they used the OHV Chevy Cavalier engine or the DOHC Olds Quad4 engine. The 4 and 6 are reasonably reliable...the automatic transmission is too. The rest of the car? Not so great. So good, cheap transportation, if that is all you need.
a computer for the blue one is under $100 on rock auto.... glad its not close to me, I like those cars....
There's no logical reason to like these cars, but I also like them. I had them as rentals many times and when I worked for Pizza Hut, one of our managers had one and I spent many nights using it (it was a GT) for deliveries. Comfy, quick enough, and for whatever reason I always liked the sound the GM V6s of the day made. The 2.8L, 3.1L and I think there was as 3.4L too? The same sound came in the contemporary Celebrity Eurosport or Pontiac 6000.

Always liked the sound of these too. The Fiero GT I recently bought has the "sound" too. Much to my delight.
I love the Quad 4 cars. Apparently by the time they were putting them in the Beretta the big complaint about them was the NVH so they made a lot of changes to them to quiet them down. The noises coming out of that Quad 4 were my favourite part. 180 HP didn't hurt either.
re. the GT. Not sure if I've ever seen an ad that changes/adds the detail that it needs a new part and ups the price $50.
Had the newly secured accomodations not required a $1k deposit I'd be calling. The $1k will be returned four months from now however.
