The green car seemed to have a bit of a soft brake pedal compared to the gray car.

Coincidentally, the brake fluid was just coming up on its 14 year replacement interval. wink

Once again, I teamed up with the Four Uncles to draw out the old brake fluid and replace it with some fresh stuff.

This tool uses a lot of compressed air (about one tankful per corner with my little pancake compressor), but it's easy to use and there's almost no mess at all.

Much better.

For some reason I thought you had sold this one already. It's been fun following the refresh. I really like that generation of Accord

I never made much of an effort to sell it, just a sign in the window with it parked in the driveway. I registered it mostly to get the title back in my name, and then rediscovered how much I like driving these cars. I think that this is my favorite generation of Accord.

I'm at a point where I can use another car in the fleet, and this is a pretty good fit for now. I expect to hang on to it at least until late spring.

I've been chasing a slow leak in one of the front tires, and the rears are starting to look pretty worn.

Fortunately, I had a new set of 16 inch General all season tires on steelies. These were actually on the green car for a few weeks this spring after the winter tires came off, and before I knew that the gray car would become available. But I hated the look of the black wheels.

I swappped the alloys back on for a while, and sprayed the steel wheels with come Rustoleum Hammered Silver a few weeks ago. They're not perfect, but they look a lot better with some color.

Slight overspray on the first one, but the rest came out great.

I was really hoping to run some vintage Honda center caps, but I can't quite get them to work.

TIL that you could, hypothetically, use a fancyass code scanner like the one I bought a few months ago to convince a car like this that the world is a better place and that TPMS never existed, even if you don't have sensors in your freshly painted steelies.

Not that you would ever want to do something like that... nor should you... but it's nice to know that if you were a person who lacked any sort of moral compass that it was theoretically possible. Even if you were seriously tech challenged. It might even be pretty easy.

Maybe.

I don't know.

I accidentally did the same thing on SWMBO's old 2009 Accord Coupe

Playing around in the Snap On Modus one day, trying to read which sensor is bad, and hit the wrong button, and poof, no more light.  Even when the LR tire was down to 20 psi

whoops lol

I think sixteen inch wheels and tires are pretty much my sweet spot. Admittedly, they don't look great on modern cars, but I generally prefer the way that almost everything rides on them.
