If I didn't have evil thoughts, my brain would have nothing to do...
Yup... And at some point in the next couple of months, he will be moving his operation closer to your neighborhood.
Might be handy, if you decide to do something crazy like buy a Fiat, and decide it needs a cage or something...
Sorry for linking this, my Photo bucket is acting wonky today. The gussets to bolt this into the car are works of art!!!
Bah humbug, seems there has been a delay.
From John's Facebook page
"I had planned to work on the Mustang this whole weekend. "BUT" my supplier was shipped 60' of 1.5x.120 EW tubing and not 1.5x.120 DOM. I won't have the correct tubing until Monday. I do have 8' of the right stuff at the shop but that won't get me too far."
Is it an optical illusion, or does your hoop bend inward as it goes toward the floor? I thought it was a no-no to have more than 180° of bend total for the main hoop for most cage rules. Are you building to a certain rule set, or just for peace of mind? I mean, clearly that cage has only safety benefits and no performance benefits, since it bolts in.

I guess I've never seen the "+ or -" part...only the 180 part. Why wouldn't they just say maximum 190 degree total bend? Not that racing rules always make sense, just saying...
Either way, are you racing this in something besides the $20xx?

I plan on doing some track days, autocrosses and maybe some special events here and there.
After Challenge life I may find a class I can fit it into.
Today we removed the factory intrusion bars, get this 14lbs @. We were making room for the roll-cage door bars.
Nice work, Steve. This car has come a long way since I first saw it in 2011 without even a front swaybar.
