Last pic shows the lower arm heim to be used in bending,I know it gets done more than it should and some get away with it but with the V shaped brace right there for the shock mount I think I'd add a gusset from it out to the jam nut to prevent bending.

Then its only the cheap'ish heim that's going to be bent instead of needing a new arm and heim.

Interesting point. I will watch this area. Here are more pix on the parking brake installation, including the handle unit and the little brackets made for the suspension uprights.

I got the Hybrid Racing RSX shifter and it is a work of art.

Here are some early sketches for engine mounts and instrument panel. I then did a couple of foamcore mockups for size and ergonomics. This is a tight area and had to be planned out carefully.

The IP was made of two layers of 1/8" alum plate. The bottom layer was the main structure. I had to weld up some tabs on the frame for mounting and the grab handles were hand made from alum stock.

Continuing with the instrument panel area, this is a glovebox/fusebox element - sheet aluminum with a smoked plexi front lid. Later I incorporated a chrome fire extinguisher integrated into the middle area.

Here is more on the details for this chassis, starting with the headlamp mounting flanges, then the fuel system, then the radiator - which is only on the left hand side.

The gas tank, radiator mount, and headlight are really really cool looking.

Here is more mechanical work - some plumbing, exhaust and a dead pedal. My welds are getting better (a little stronger) but not pretty.

Thank you, my pleasure.

The fiberglass parts on this 'kit' leave something to be desired. I was not provided the rest of the scoop form, but I really didn't like it anyway. It was necessary to fill in the jog offset area and build a down flange to complete the form properly.. and extend the shape at the front with an aluminum part.

I will be away for a while and unable to keep this up. Please forgive me, I will be back as soon as possible. These pix are of the later revisions to the floor pan and the firewall, designed for easier removal.

I am back from a vacation so I will resume the thread now. The paint work required building a booth out of visqueen and PVC pipe. This was a six week ordeal with special paints that had to be recoated immediately or allowed to set for five days. In the final analysis, it all came out okay but don't look too close.

Enviable execution of a plan. To sketch is one thing,to bring it to fruition is quite another. Well done sir!

That brings new meaning to the term "hot plates".

I had to keep the plate a certain distance to ground (CA law) but it has worked out fine. There are rubber bumpers on the plate base which ride on the muffler. The electrical part of the job took a couple of months, especially since it was such a learning experience. Here are some pix showing a few of the major wiring junctions, with a velcro "wall" for flexible arrangements. I probably should have velcroed the whole area.

Here is a shot of the interior, before the great state of California required me to add a windshield and wipers. These are little parts attached to the front suspension uprights to limit the full-turn situation.
