Man, am I the only one that was really worried about a big intake ball of fire?
(Personally, I wanted to see a big intake ball of fire)

YES !
(looks like Ron's going to have to make you a new updated badge)
I'll update the 3D model in 2028 when it actually happens.
MonZora moved under her own power today, for the first time since April 6th. Not very far, just to the end of the driveway and then a car-length forward. Gotta fix the Saab front end and wasn't gonna do it in the driveway.
"Doesnt matter if it's by an inch or by a mile, moving's moving"
Also, dang that paint looks so good! Perfect level of rattiness IMO

Burnouts and video up the driveway when you put it back or it's like it never happened.

I'm so frustrated with the starting issue that I might go elevens or bust before I take it apart again.

I think I missed it. What's up with starting? Do you need to prime it and spray it everytime? Are the injectors leaking down. Is timing correct?
I mean, it's kinda gotta be one of those.
oh, oh...Is the coolant temp sensor working?

I just got done setting a shower pan for a friend, and so I am chilling in my Ferdinand shirt...

Are you still battling that starter?

It's hard to berk up timing on an LT1.
From the startup video it almost looks like a fuel pressure bleed down issue, which is checkable with a fuel pressure gauge and some needle nose vise grips. If the pressure doesn't bleed down, not a problem. If it does bleed down, clamp off the feed line to see if it's the check valve in the pump. If it still bleeds down, clamp off the return line to see if it's the regulator. If it still bleeds down, there are nine other options, and pulling the vacuum hose off of the regulator to see if it's full of fuel will eliminate one of them...
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
If my new OTC gauge can be trusted, the fuel pump primes to 32 psi and does not bleed down. At idle, it holds 32 psi. When I pull the vacuum line from regulator, it goes to 36. No liquid in vacuum line. I will do those other checks next time I work on it.
i know the system is supposed to be at 3 bar aka 43.5 psi.

Correct.
Biggest issue is that it cranks really slowly as soon as there's any heat in the powertrain at all. Slow like hand cranking with ratchet on balancer bolt slow. B+ and B- cables are 1ga, direct from battery to starter. Battery is new. Starter is reman, about a month old. I'm going to pull the transaxle and see if changes. Could be misalignment binding the input shaft in the pilot bearing? Problem existed with old engine as well. Could be that the Audi starting system just isn't enough to spin the 10.5:1 SBC.
