Probably not required to run with trunk lid mounted. That might reduce drag/wind catch.

Sawzall of everything behind the rear wheels will reduce drag more.
We're bringing all the spacer for you to put on the MEATS. 315 ftmfw! You'll need them with that 200 shot.
Looking at how long this thing is behind the front doors, I'm thinking this could be a really great speedster pickup. Modern day this:
If you have time
I will never look at Avalons in the same fashion again, and that is in a very very good way.
I second the ultralight fabric/tarp-like "tonneau cover" behind the roll bar and to the trunk lid. A few marine-grade snaps and a 10$ tarp would probably get the job done with <1lb weight penalty IMHO.
To everyone saying tonneau:
YUP!
its just better. The only exception is if you put 4 kirkeys in there. Which you should do.
Front chop. I didn't need spring compressors for front or rear. Just zip the nut off til it pops. The fronts were under a lot more compression than the front, shooting the top hat across my garage. I was sure I went too far when half the spring is gone...
But I was wrong. Fitment is supreme and have just enough ground clearance to slip the jack under the radiator support, which is apparently structural enough to lift the car. I'll take better pictures in the light tomorrow.
Drove it again. It's pretty berkeleyin fast.
A car isn't low enough unless, when letting it down off the jack, the jack then is stuck underneath until someone lifts up on the fender.

It was very close to that. It may not make it into my tow dolly.
$16 Amazon LED pods are in. We're ready to party
Challenge is something I look forward to all year, even if I am just a voyeur. It looks like so much fun.
In reply to OjaiM5 :
I really hate to be pushy, but any chance of a rendering of this thing?
(Please ignore if that's an imposition.)

+1 to four Kirkeys. This thing is hilarious.

I don't know how much you expect it to change in the next 48 hours lol. There won't be a next year. I plan to crush this car after I steal its engine.
I would love to draw it but it looks done to me. I could put a BAW (big ass wing) or a Ojai hood or something on it lol

Did you ever think you'd have a hood duct design named after you?
In reply to TVR Scott (Forum Supporter) :
I never expected to name a hood duct either, it was just easy to explain that way.
In reply to maschinenbau (I live here) :
Good point, I don't really want change, merely egging on brilliance.
As for the Roll-avalon, Perfect as is. Go show em what for!
I don't think this car can get a true Ojai hood. I believe the true Ojai hood relies on the lack of a radiator to create a "wing" effect where the radiator used to be. Without this lack of radiator it is just a typical radiator duct type hood. I mean that is my interpretation.. I am neither Ojai or the coiner of the "Ojai" hood duct.
