I still giggle in delight when I look at your suspension setup.
It turns out that my aluminum floor is not legal for the class because the rear tranny crossmember bolts to it and becomes load bearing, and aluminum is not allowed for load bearing structure. I simply added 1"x2" steel tube between the transmission crossmember and the frame rails and the problem is solved.
Just checking in. I'm one of the many, many people who watch every update with awe and jealousy, but may not say anything. We're here reading this, and thanks for posting.

Ditto, my friend.
I am still getting things done on the car. Just today I built a drivers side seat mount, remote oil filter mount, radiator overflow mount, top radiator shroud/hood pin holder, wired the fuel pump and bled the brakes. Because of the reduced weight of the v8, the car sits 1.5" higher in the front. I'm debating if I should just lower it with the pushrods or do I need to adjust the wheel rate.
If it wasn't particularly sorted or running at a Known handling sweetspot (read perfect front rear wheel frequencies) I would just shorten the pushrods and see how it is. You can always go back to try different springrates in the future but this way you don't have to rebuild bellcranks.
I drove the car around the kart track for a few laps, it was too much fun! It feels understeery so I have to give it some welli to get it to rotate but otherwise the handling feels good. It does smoke a lot but I hope to have that problem solved soon. Here is video from 3 different angles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67hQlqxbzHo

Because the floor and side pipes dropped 3 inches, there was an ugly gap between the body and the pipes so today I took some 18 gauge aluminum and filled the gap. I was going to paint it but some have the opinion that it looks good in natural aluminum. It could also be a good place for sponsor stickers.
Looks good.
I've watched that first video three or four times and posted it on Facebook. There's something inherently awesome about an open-pipe V8 sliding around indoors.

Fantastic videos! I was about to just say "INDOORS?!?!"..but then I remembered you own the place.

It's a perk of owning a kart track ;) I finally built the passenger rear fender flare. I planned on doing front ones as well but am not sold on the flares yet. Do you think I should get rid of them, paint them or leave them and build front ones, too?
looks great...Hell yeah Id add some to the front too!
...Then again Im not the one going to spend the time to line everything up and do the fab work, so consider the source when reading this
I'm not much of fan of the flares, but that's just me. That car is bad ass and now I really want to find a location that will let me drive a car indoors.
I like them, but I think they should be painted. I think eventually too much bare aluminum moves from "accent" to "incomplete."

1st vid is a great overview of just how well that car fits on track. 3rd is great fun, all kinds of awesome V8 burbles and slip angles. I'm still digging his car.

Yeh, it's the Spridgetech kit-what kind of deal?

That car is relatively local to me. I know the guys that run it, they run our local hill every May long weekend.
This is their "old" car:
If you go back to the post where I weighed the car with the V12, you will see that the total weight (with me in it) was 2353 lbs and 46.8% of that was on the back tires. Now, with the V8, the total weight is 2136 and 51.1% of that is on the back tires-this is all good news. All I need is to switch to aluminum heads and rear diff and some glass fenders and I'm down to the class minimum weight. :)
