You can clearly count 6 plug wires but I think I also count 3 pedals.
250 straight six with 3 on the tree!
He could have bought new repro seat covers or a Mexican blanket for the amount of money he spent on duct tape.
What the ad says: "engine does turn over but doesn't fire because of carburetor/distributor"
What this actually means: The engine is badly worn out and needs a comprehensive rebuild along with the entire electrical and fuel system. Rest of the drivetrain should be viewed with extreme skepticism.
p.s. I would take those seats out and leave them where the car sits vs. sitting on them once were I to purchase this thing.
That's not a bad deal. If it was a 2 door, it would be $6K, with a smoking, tapping "350" (305), with rusty chrome valve covers, that "runs out real good", and is "95% rust free" (see-thru quarter panels)
I see very little rust in the admittedly crappy pictures. Pretty straight, too. Floors have been patched; I wonder how well. The lack of aftermarket seats and floor shift suggests that it may not have been violated too badly. It's local-ish to me and I could almost see it as a not terrible project.

That's a great quote right there
In reply to Uncle David (Forum Supporter) :
I do agree with every negative word about it, and the ad does not instill confidence, but if it was local, I’d prolly throw him an offer!
Well there are sure a lot of easy bolt on go fast parts for it no matter how many doors it has.
Maybe build a Kurt Russell death proof family car?
My first car was a 2 door version of this, but a 72. 250 straight 6 and 3-on-the-tree. I paid $250 and probably overpaid. I loved that car, but looking back it was a truly terrible car.
