We had a Bugeye that raced at Westwood near Vancouver back in the 70s, that had a Buick 215 engine in it.
Ironically, although it went rather quickly on the straights, the lap times were comparable with the fastest regular engined Sprite (which set the class record for 'normal' production Sprites using a hand grenade 1275 engine).
Geez, the saga of the road trip to transfer stewardship was riveting enough!

Every time I drive a long distance to get a car I say nope that's it. I'm not doing that again. Then a cool car comes up and I'm all well the last trip wasn't that bad.
