Ha! Knew it. Everyone at my pole said it was misfiring, and I said it sounded like antilag. When it stopped doing it I assumed that it was something wrong that you fixed. I'm not sure how loud it sounded like to you, but it was LOUD. Like painful if you didn't cover your ears loud. Loved the car btw. SVO's are my favorite mustang.
Looking like maybe Friday for the Test & Tune. Shoot, I might even try to make a pass in the old POS.
Also, Autocross #5 is July 14th. $35 if you preregister on MotorsportsReg ($30 for PCA members, any region).
Autocross #6 is August 11th.
Who's down for what?
What sort of time frame is Friday? I have zero familiarity with the PIR drags...
Hilariously, the next in the series of hikes my girlfriend has planned also has its next occurrence on 8/11... Hopefully I can make one of those autocrosses...
In reply to ransom:
5:30PM to midnight for the drags. It's like $8 to spectate (maybe 7). The loud cars run until 10, and they have some wicked cool stuff show up.
As for autocrossing, find a fellow PDX GRM'er to share a ride with?
I'd wear one of my 4 GRM shirts, but they look like tents on me now. That's what happens when you lose 70 pounds!
I should be able to make it. If we are running in the drags I'll bring my Diesel Mercedes and a hourglass.
I hope to make the auto-x too

The way my 924 is running right now, I'd probably give you a run for your money ;)
I've got some things on the docket for Friday. Depending on how they go, when I get back into town, and whether or not I've left my project car in a heaping pile on the side of I5, I should be able to make it out.
Would love to meet some fellow GRMers. I hit the Cascade Cars and Coffee when I have time, and would love to hit up the Friday Night Drags and even take out the Berlina.
A friend might be there in his yellow '69 Vette tonight. Wish I could make it.
Just met up with Ben on his cross-country trip:
He and the wife are on their way to the Oregon Coast to partake in some Hwy 101.
In reply to turboswede:
He doesn't look a damn thing like Beef Supreme or Jackie Chan...
EDIT: Excellent! Not sure why, but it just makes me happy to see GRMers from all around visiting here... And I love a coast trip.
Unfortunately the lunch with Ben ran a little longer than expected so I've got some work to catch up on, so I don't think I'll make it tonight.
I will however come out to the Autocross next weekend after I fix a few issues with the 924

LMAO!!! She's 18, single, and drifts a 240 "Kouki".
The track was dead. You could have made 50 passes, no joke. Still saw some cool cars (EcoTec Turbo swapped Corona wagon?!?) and wandered the SCCA pits. Javelin ran great, didn't race it though. See you next Sunday for autocross?

Aren't you supposed to be dissuading me?
Lemme know if you two head north for any 'automotive shenanigans,' been meaning to meet some GRM folks.
(Previous invite extended even to those of you lacking young, single, sideways-driving sisters)
You'll need to log in to post.
