Ok this is kind of a weird question. BMW had a dark red paint. Almost what you would see on a old fire truck. I have seen it in person only a couple times and that was probably four or five years ago. I have only seen it on an M3 and an M5. Never on a seven series and never on a non M car. I have Google's some with no results. I would like to either know the code for the paint or the YMM of BMW that I was on so I can look it up.

I have a car I am thinking I would like to repaint using it with it.

I think this is it but the photo makes it look a bit lighter and a little more brown than what I have seen in person.

I believe what you saw was Imola Red based on this PDF chart of BMW paint by model, although your pic looks closer to Chiaretto

That is Indianapolis red.

Imola red is much more of a true red.

I am now thinking #894 chiaretto red. Still not sure but it is close.

I have found that BMW colors, especially reds, look very different online and in person.
