I think it's EMOD legal, because if SCCA tries to deny it, he simply tells them "Ok, YOU go tell it no." I heard SCCA's been missing some staff recently lol.

I was going to start cracking about how that's impossible because nobody in Eugene does anything, but you've all seen ditchdigger's Fiat, so there are clearly exceptions...

Apparently it runs in Emald Empire SportsCarClub which hold AutoX and hill climbs. They don't use SCCA rules I believe.

In reply to turboswede:

Not exactly... I think they're loosely based on SCCA rules, but the OSP on the window of that car predates the SCCA's Street Mod and so forth. They already had that class when I started running there in the early '90s; OSPO for over, IIRC 2.6 liters, OSPU for under; as a catch-all for street driven cars prepared beyond Street Prepared rules.

Is it me or is that engine facing the wrong way?

I have a 460 on a stand that I've considered putting in some weird places. This guy beats me for creativity.

I've run a couple of seasons with them and the rules are pretty loose. They are a lot of fun and I preferred running with them over SCCA (except for the drive from Portland, the wife liked the staycations though)

I hope this car finds a good home. Man I wish I could see it in person or buy it

that thing would be an ice racing legend with some studded tires..

i think what it really needs is a pair of turbos so you could put a tinted hatch on it to hide the good stuff and some quiet mufflers for sneaking up on people...

If the photos weren't so detailed I'd swear it was a joke/photoshop and that you couldnt DO that. Man, that's impressive. More impressive that it's driveable, and mind blowing that it's that cleanly finished up.

I'm in awe.

So what we have here is an old 4WD F350 with a Celica body mounted on backwards?

Drat. Couldn't talk the wife into it as a replacement for her dead brick. She saw right through my ploy.

You'd think that, but look at the one pic of the rear end - that's an IRS set-up.

Some serious thought went into this crazy car.

Yeah I noticed that too, I wonder how the whole power split and awd works in that beast...

This thing is AWESOME! If I had the change I would drag it home, no question (I know that is what we are ALL thinking). I imagine this thing is a handful to drive.

Looks like the right way to me for a mid/rear-engined AWD car. I imagine it's just like your typical front-engined AWD truck except the engine power feeds into the transfer case from the back.

If he had blowers on it, that means it's just about right for a pair of turbos...
