The maverick is put a deposit on is stuck in stop sale. Im told end of march is eta for a fix. 

In the meantime, I found almost exact same truck on the used side for 8k less ASKING woth only 13000 miles on it. Granted, that doesn't include taxes or tag fees.

Which means it still has a lot of factory warranty left.

Google is vague on how to transfer the warranty.  

Anyone have actual practical experience here? Preferably with ford?

You don't need to do anything--the factory warranty follows the truck, not the owner. This is standard for all manufacturers. Aftermarket repair insurance policies (aka aftermarket warranties) usually have to be transferred, but those are a whole different thing.

And fwiw, I bought my F-150 used and had no issue getting warranty work done.
