In reply to Curmudgeon: it is not an A series
That's right, it's not. I goofed. IIRC that was called the H or R series and was the basis for the 1600 Roadster engine. There was a 2 liter version used in forklifts that was a bolt in swap in the Roadster.
Later it was bored and stroked, got an OHC head and was called the U20.

Datsun A series. That one is probably in a forklift.
Another Hemi:
That one looks like a Daimler V8 as used in the Dart as such.
Yep, that's it. 2.5 liters of raw horsepuppies.
In reply to Curmudgeon: close enough for me. Its an H20. The best engine in the forklift industry. Its still in production ad the K21 with an aluminum head and EFI. I've never had to retire one of those engines from service.

That looks like the Subaru F1 engine from back in the day. However, i thought the subaru engine was a Flat 12, not a 16.
Has someone really not guessed the Porsche flat 16 that was in development to go in the Porsche 917?
No wait that's not the Porsche one... Ugh, it's made by a company who makes watches too... Ugh... 3 letters.... Lemme think on this one.
That's the Porsche engine.
That other one is a BRM. That's it!! YES!
Here's the watch company...

THAT'S THE STUFF!!
This is the motor making that sound though:
1.5L of supercharged V-16 awesomeness....too bad it's a unreliable and finicky motor and the car itself was not that great.
Ok, now I need some genuine "I.D. this motor" help like the o.p. did.
Its a Ford V8 in a 1978 c-class motorhome. (van chassis type) I can't find any tags to say what engine this is. Can anyone figure it out? 351? 400? 460?
It's a 25 year barn find in pretty good shape if anyone wants it for cheap.
located in southeast MI. I'll assume a C6 is backing it up.
