I'm just going to leave this here.

Thank you for that. I highly recommend everyone clicky on the linky.
Crap. Now y'all got my AADD running again... stuff a 13BT in there with Meotter running gear and brakes... YEE HAW.
In case you didn't actually watch that video from Warren...we haven't installed any of the bracketry for the bodywork yet. We just unpacked it and put it on the car. The nose cone won't stay on if you do that, so we recommend using the brackets.
Flyin' Miata is another environment right? So we're safe from any contamination resulting from its front falling off?
I don't get all this talk of miata and motors and all that. This is clearly a full scale soapbox derby car, and it comes ready to roll, no assembly required!
Joking aside, UPS Freight came through for me and ended up doing a liftgate delivery to my house at no extra cost. Which is good, since I had already incurred the costs of driving a truck to the depot yesterday with guys to lift the exo. In the end, when things go wrong it's how a company fixes the problem that matters. UPS did good.
Warren, that pallet with casters is brilliant. We rolled the thing out the truck, liftgated it down and rolled into my garage with very little effort.
Congrats on finding it. UPS has actually "lost" a couple before. The UPS employees always have the same bewildered pause on the phone after we tell them how big the "package" is that they lost. At least the kits usually get found quickly.
That shrink-wrap has saved us a lot of money and headache. Since we started using it over the plastic wrap, damage to the cars during shipping has been nearly eliminated. I suspect it's because no one wants to be the forklift operator that breaks the seal.
We're constantly improving the process, too. The last few cars we've sent (I don't think yours was recent enough) have the aluminum transmission covers in their own box to reduce the chance of wandering forklift forks doing damage. If there's a way to damage a shipment, those operators will find a way!
HAHAHA linuxdood they lost yours too! (well great it was found quickly and the delivered it home). I'm thinking it is a right of passage. Now make an engine hoist out of the crate like I did and buy a $20 harbor freight ratcheting winch. Works great and can be dismantled and stored easily.

That seriously has to be one of the funniest videos I've seen. I'm still laughing about it.
SteadFast let me know if you want me to take mine to glass guys in VC. I should have it running by next weekend if i get injectors rebuilt by then. Im out of town right now.

That being said, standard Miata sliders or aftermarket sliders designed for the Miata will work on the Exocet. Simply bend the ears straight. Kevin uses the Corbeau sliders on his Black Exocet.
Warren,
Would spacing on the Miata seat base after bending out the ears match the distance between crossbars on Exocet floor, or would I still need to get steel bars to use as a base?
If you flatten the ears on a Miata seat mount, it will work with the seat mounting tubes. I recommend applying a little bit of heat where possible.
I was just looking at the V-Maxx shocks I have for my Exo...FM says to install them to 12-12 1/2" from hub center to fender lip on front and 12 1/2-13" in rear....Where the hell do we measure if the fenders follow the tire? Warren/Keith, what are you measuring from the chassis to the ground front and rear just so that I have an idea of where to start once I am building my beast? Thanks in advance....

I'm working with a glass company in the Pacific Northwest that can custom cut safety glass, and can do so with an effective cost structure. I will provide my write up this weekend.
Well amazon brought all of my hardware except for one piece (an important piece). I doubt it will show up today. The windshield should be ready to install once I get that piece. I guess pics to follow next weekend. . .

Scratch that. Just bought a 99 donor on the cheap! Southern car too.
Time to call Exomotive!
I picked up my donor car for $1500 yesterday! 2000 with a rough body and no back window. Was owned by an older lady who it seems was driving by feel. The running gear seems to be in excellent shape however. No leaks and drives great.
