"Another exciting name from Honda’s past has returned, this time applied to a sporty-looking two-door coupe concept with an electric powertrain. Revealed at the Tokyo auto show, the Prelude concept supposedly previews future Honda EVs, specifically sports-car models that promise to prioritize driver engagement and performance."
Finally an EV I can get excited about...a good looking car that isn't a super expensive exotic, and best of all not an SUV. That is, if it actually comes to market.
Looks nice, but the EV part makes me sad. I'm sure the price will be well out of my reach anyhow so it doesnt really matter whats under the hood.
Out of most of the concepts I've seen ahead of the Japan Mobility Show, the Prelude looks to be one of the most production-ready ones of the bunch.
I like the looks, pricing would probably still keep me out of one tho but I am too cheap when it comes to purchases sometimes.
That says Toyota to me much more than it says Honda.
Looks pretty good. But I doubt we will be in the market for an EV in the next 3-4 years.
I'm in the same boat as others in being priced out of this, but it looks great. So happy they didn't put that bumper-car front on it like I see all of the time...

Yeah, the headlights are very evocative of the new Prius.
This is probably the first time an EV has piqued my interest because of its exterior design, and not its powertrain. I like it a lot.
It does look good but we don't know the specs. I'd guess its closest competition will be the Tesla 3. If they can give it AWD, 300-400hp and keep the weight reasonable it could be a sportier Model 3 alternative.

When it comes to sporty electric cars the alternatives are things like the Porsche Taycan. Being a Honda, it's probably safe to assume it will be a lot more affordable.

I can hope! I do want to purchase at least one 'new' car in my life and an EV makes a lot of sense, I just need to get over being stingy lol
Looks very good. I hope that they do a better revival than they did on the CR-Z.
I was pretty stoked to see it as an EV concept, but according to a TwitX post from their media guy, it's a hybrid, not full BEV.
I would suspect that some form of this would hit the Acura stores first.

I was thinking that it looks very close to the new Nissan Z. I'm a huge fan of the old Preludes, wish they would have paid more of a tribute to the older designs.
I'm surprised they've invested the R&D in a coupe when they wouldn't make the Integra one, although I can see why they shared platform with the civic on that too.
If this was an ICE Acura Integra it would be a hit....
Thanks to Tom for the original idea.
This and the Mazda concept looks really good.
Poor H22 out here catching strays.
In reply to Contradiction :
I suspect the answer is b/c at some point they will bring the NSX nameplate back as a halo coupe under the acura nameplate.
