I love the SLS I fit quite well in it. Same with the SL black. The new GT is a hard car for me to get in and out of.

SLS are getting up there price but I could get a PP one for about 125-130K in a coupe. Biggest thing is that they are a GT car and no manual. I feel like I would be better suited with something like a V12 Vantage being a little smaller and sportier.

Again lots of options. Its a good place to be.

The SLS is a stretch, but if I'm willing to let go of some of my other nice cars I should be able to do it. The problem is there is a lot of cool stuff in that range, so it's a hard decision to make. I've always wanted an SLS though.

There was an SLS black series at my local dealer for several months having the torque tube replaced. They said just the part was over $40k.

I know of an ACR-X for sale, if that's what you're looking for.

I want a street legal ACR not the X. I like being able to use the car for charity events and fun runs when I have the opportunity.

I know it's entirely impractical, but what about a mid-engined coupe with a gated manual that's currently in the $125k-$135k range and has been appreciating at a good clip as of recently?

They are fantastic cars, that one is a little overpriced by about 15K but not the end of the world.

What I am going to say now is pretty blasphemous but I have driven both and I prefer the 348.

Perhaps, but it seems like Testarossa values are on the upswing. It's possible you could buy this car, drive it some for a year or so and sell for a profit.

Glad the Viper sacrificed itself for you. As a former auto engineer I would get a bit irked by the "God saved my Daughter from the head on with the semi." Vs "Damn auto engineers killed my Daughter because she didn't survive the head on with the semi." No positive props for the engineer just blame. Either way it would probably be all down to luck anyhow.

I still want a Vantage V12. Hope you find something that fits your fancy.

Hard to match a Viper so maybe just a settle on another one? Or why not build a ridiculous Chevy SS?

If you like flashy, hard edged super cars that make little kids giggle, and I think most Viper ACR owners fit that description, this sort of thing might appeal as well.

For something a bit softer, I've seen a number of newish manual Astons at C&C events. Hard to beat the looks of an Aston Martin.

There was a purple Viper in the Mopar booth at the Gatornationals this weekend. That and a bunch of Drag Pack Challengers. Knowing it's going away I was surprised to see one there.

So both insurance companies have gone dark on me. Kind of pissed off. Would like to know what is going on, they inspected the car on Thursday of last week.

Still dark. There is some serious haggling going on between the two. I have found but not retained an attorney at this point and they know it. Found a company to value the car and give deposition on diminished value as well.

Doubt it is my insurance as its stated value, but she is the one that hit me and we have to come to some agreement. The little info I have says they are going to fix it as the value with the modifications is so high that we would have to hit around 75-80K in repair before it was totaled.

If they fix it I may just take the cash pay the car off and stick it in storage for a few years until I can come to terms with what it wants to be. Street car with a history or a monster track car with no tags.

As the recent LS in a Mustang article points out, "it's only original once, and as soon as it's hit, that once is over." That would leave you with a pretty blank slate...

So repair estimate for all the paint, the suspension repair and all the body panel replacement and fixing the wheels from Allstate was 3600$. The shop I brought it got me a estimate where they stopped counting at 50,000.

This is going to get ugly. No shop will touch the repair with that low of a repair estimate. They just don't even want to deal with the car. The local Dodge dealer will not do a repair period due to the liability.

A supercar gets t-boned and their insurance comes up with an estimate of $3,600?? I'd expect a bigger check than that if you'd been in a Camry FFS, not a rare ACR Viper. They need to get their E36 M3 together with a quickness.

Will that even cover the wheels?
