Based on what they are asking out here in California and the discounts on the Hellcats. People buy Hellcats.
I believe the charger is build off the E-class platform which actually for a big car is surprisingly agile the W210 chassis however. My E is a W212

I m seeing 56-58K on new leftovers right now. The lease specials are no longer around because the 16's got a remapped residual but man are they out there and man are they cheap. Like 48K for a lightly used challanger of you want the stick. Autos are bringing easier sale but about the same money at least out here.
In reply to Jaynen :
That is a myth generated by poorly informed executives that thought connecting the charger to the e class would help sales. It actually did the opposite. They shared components like a Toyota Corolla shares parts with a Lexus, spark plugs, trim screws, one of the engine options maybe, a sway bar link etc. But not the chassis.
The charger is on its own platform shared with the Challenger(shortened) and 300.
I probably would only buy a SS of the RWD models we have these days. If my Brother in law actually takes a job with GM as he is contemplating, I will ask if they have a good employee discount.
Ex-PD Cappies going for 10-12k with under 100k miles on them, with the 6.0. Might have to think about that for a while...

Damn, move over P71, your days are numbered. 360hp 390lb/ft with uprated suspension for $12k is a bargain. Also, who pulls over on the freeway for a Panther anymore? Now, about those EcoBoost ex-Police Explorers?
In reply to Adrian_Thompson :
Local Roscoe P. Coltrane types still have Vickies. I see them around my town. Most of the Staties here use Tahoes, Exploders, Cappies, or the new AWD turbo Tauruses, which are also pretty badass.
In reply to volvoclearinghouse :
Most of the Police Taurii that I see for sale are equipped with the NA v6, not the EcoBoost setup. Just FYI. But I'm a bit apprehensive to own a higher mileage DI/Forced induction car with tons of idling time anyway.
In reply to STM317 :
Agreed. For the money, the nice, low-stress, big cube LS seems like a safer bet.
