It's kinda funny in a way... the Cayman is so expensive that most of the people who can afford one can also afford a 911. Which is probably why I see a dozen 911's for every Cayman.

Also want. But I would be looking used, and possibly a boxster and add the hatchback hard top.
I had a student at the Glen two weeks ago with a white '14 Cayman S 6 speed with less than 2K on the odo.
What a freaking awesome car. Telepathic. Crazy fast. Brilliant brakes. It positively oozes "buy me now and figure out how to afford me later".
but a more accurate face-off would be between the Stingray and the Cayman.
Which, unless you're buying for the dragstrip, the Cayman would still win, imo.
I still view the Cayman as a semi-ruined Boxster, but even in those terms it is still one of my favorite models currently in production. The c7 doesn't make that list.
