On a car like this Facebook can truly be a double edged sword......
On the one hand I've found a few groups, and people who have these cars, and mods are not uncommon. The "inspiration" car is not a lone example, although I have heard his rack and pinion swap was less then perfect, and may have lead to him selling it - so this will be something to stay aware of as the build goes on. Another "common" thing appears to be that finished examples have a "high" rate of theft - so along with a complete re-wire, some security will need to be part of the process.
But, because most of these folks are from other parts of the world....
South East Asia & the Pacific mostly... their swap parts(available manufacturers), as well as vehicle requirements are different then those in the US.
Now the biggest thing for me to avoid is to get a head of myself.... improved steering and brakes are all well and good, but, first things first. I need to stabilize the body/chassis from 45 years of survival first.
Now the hunt to find a shop here in Oregon (hint), who can do this kind of body/chassis stabilization(hint), who might be persuaded to offer me a "deal"(BIG hint...) 
Soda blast, and proceed from there.... but whom???

About 9/10 scale?... from what I've seen (very quick google search) The Barracuda wheelbase is 108 inches, the Mark is 102.3(I measured). The Cuda was 2700-2900#s, this is "reported to be" 2560#s, The Mark looks to be a trimmer version, with some other styling cues as well.
Leave it to the Mopar guy to notice that kind of rear window and the body line similarity. Might be able to take some cues from the Hemi cudas from 67 or 68 as you are essentially building the Japanese version of it

hmmmmm.....(just a brainfart) might be able make this fit(or get it replicated to fit).... and it would be accurate. Not quite the right body, but it is one of the more subtle kits available
Q if you're thinking Mopar stripe packages look at the duster twister or Duster 340 and the AAR Cuda as possibilities

Schweeeeet. Love the lines. Any idea on color? I love the green one in the example you posted. Any classic muscle car color would probably go great. The blackout on the taillight panel looks good too.

I vote Plum Crazy Purple as a Japanese copy of a HEMI Roadrunner, vinyl strips and all but translated to Japanese- then pull up alongside MOPAR owners with the smug-est face you can possibly have.
My wife also likes the Plum Crazy Purple (metallic).........

The US market got a clock............. while in many other markets, they got a tach (rhd cluster)
I've got the word out... not sure if that is going to help, but we'll see....

I like the idea of Plum Crazy Purple, but bend it a bit towards the orient. How about some form of Cherry Blossom Crazy Purple. It tends a lot more towards pink, but clearly a lighter purple could work:

Although, you could figure out what the Aichi (location of Toyota HQ) mascot is and get a graphic made up similar to the road runner or Super Bee graphics
Did you see the Raspberry Pi powered round gauge that CorsePerVita aka Derek made for his MegaSquirt equipped Lambo?
That could be an option and he's relatively close to the area (Redmond).
4 turns is a little slow, most "sporty" racks tend to be around 2.5 turns.
Perhaps an electric steering column retrofit would reduce the clutter and mess under the hood with power steering and allow a wider range of steering racks/box options?

Alright... ... paint "experiment" using photoshop, or other graphics program... lets see how those colors would look.... As far as your "canvas"... this is the best I can do for the time being....
