but something more along the lines of this.....
This /\ is a Toyota Corona Mark II hardtop (coupe, aka MX22). The one I'm getting isn't so pretty... yet
A quick note, the 2M inline 6 engine(105hp) that was original equipment weighs about 10#s MORE then the 4.0 liter Hemi that will be taking its place
so... I guess... there is more to come.........

That is a nice car to install it in, except you need to open the hood to see that Hemi.
it needs to go into a Bucket T or something minus a hood.
Congrats! Look forward to your project! My dad bought his fist Toyota in 1971 I believe it was a Corona wagon. It was white looked something like this one. Good memories.
That is a rust free Toyota. And I include the bubbles on the bottom of the sills in that observation.

So I contacted a friend who lives about 30 min away from this person... who happen to know him as well. I scheduled with him, and the car owner to be gone over. Going through that mass of photos, I picked 3....
the inspectors response....
o 3 areas: 2 of those round holes - 1 of those is under the rear seat foam, 1 under your fwet.
3rd area is driver quarterpanel behind the rear wheel. Looks like it's been patched or bondo'd smooth. Otherwise, car is solid, even in the areas you asked me to look at.
If I were to do it, I'd soda blast the car, fix the shoddy repair work (which is minimal), fix the dents / highs / lows and have a great smooth body.
more to come.........

While you'll know all the work involved. I doubt one person in 10,000 will recognize it as anything special.

You know... that perfectly fine with me. With Surreptitious - many people had a similar opinion.

But it will absolutely blow that thoughtful and educated person's mind.
This is like a 3/4 scale Aussie muscle car, only Japanese. Going to be great.
What good is an "investment guy" when he isn't around when you need some of your own money???
Anyway, I had to move $$ from a few places, but it all "arrived" @ the bank in time for me to get the seller the cash...
Arrived... 16 hours(too much fog in Northern Cal)
and tucked away... after a long wet journey
more to come....
