Now this I definitely a different swap and for those tired of ls swaps a 1970 cadillac 500 is a real interesting one. The 500 stock is the only year the 500 engine had the higher compression ratio as gm lowered all compression ratios to n 1971. This motor isant stock and in addition to the extra power will make some massive low end torque for sure.

I remember that being in a magazine years ago.
I know I've read about this car before; the luggage engine cover jogged my memory. Here's an article from 2007 on it: https://www.engineswapdepot.com/?p=78 and here's where it was for sale in 2010, at $35k!: https://jalopnik.com/5558535/for-35000-82-litre-911-still-has-baggage. Seems like an awesome swap except the transmission. I feel like a 3-speed auto is a huge letdown on a Porsche 911. I'm sure it's fast in a drag race, though.

The same transmission the th425 which is basically just the front drive th400 was also used in the vector w8.
I'm a big fan of 500 cid Caddy engines and of Porsche 911s but I'm not convinced that they should be combined in one vehicle. Even when done as well as this one appears to be.

I remember that car. Neat build, engineering-wise, but I would have no interest at all in owning it

Yep, and even at the time of the w8 it was seen as a massive disappointment. Everything else about the Vector was amazing but the transmission made it a straight line wonder.
I still have the supercars issue of I think it was Road & Track from 1991 or so and they complained about the transmission, saying it really held the car back.
