I wonder if the car dealers will kill the momentum in cars sales by trying to sell the car above MSRP. That would really suck.

it didn't kill the Miata... but yes, it will really really suck to see them go for 5 or 10 grand over list
Some definitely will. Hopefully most will want to avoid the bad PR in the internet age and let the go at sticker.
I've heard the Miata sold well above sticker for several months. back in '89-'90.

Yeah, this. Aren't new Scions always supposed to sell for exactly sticker?

Well... no. The point is to allow buyers to feel that they don't have to engage in the undesirable activity of negotiating for a price below sticker. Very, very few cars are so popular that dealers can sell them for more than sticker. (Well, without dishonest business practices at least.)
They'll probably throw every tacky dealer accessory in their ample lineup on the first few that come in, just to try and scrape some extra bucks out of buyers.

Yes, but if I was a Scion dealer hell-bent on maximizing my profit on my first few FR-S's I'd probably just throw a few thousand dollars worth of "pinstriping", "scotchguard", and "rust proofing"

"You're telling me you don't have any without undercoating, gold plated badging, and carbon fiber self-adhesive port holes?!"
Scion is no haggle so hopefully this won't happen. If it does, we can out wait the fan boi's and let them get bent over the negotiating table to get one.
An old bull and a young bull were standing on a hill looking down on a valley full of cows. “Hey”, says the young bull. “Let’s run down and mate with one of those cows…”
“No”, says the old bull. “Let’s walk down and mate with them all.”
