Equus Automotive—not to be confused with the Hyundai Equus—appeared on the scene with its Bass 770 “luxury muscle car” that sported old-school styling and the 640-horsepower supercharged LS engine from the Corvette ZR1.
In an effort to outdo themselves, apparently, the Michigan-based company released this in 2018, the Equus Throwback.
Based on the C7 Corvette, the car is said to be …

I think he or she has a thing for coal rolling trucks.
To me it looks worse than what they started with. I also don't see and retro in it at all. They took a C7 and put C6 & C5 styling ques on it added big driving lights to ruin the aero. This is somehow retro? This is what you get when a bunch car guys go drinking and have lots of extra cash. Proof that there are different strokes for different folks I guess.
Who's suing who over that name? I would not want my $150k "super car" to be confused with a production model from a low priced player, even if that model in question is the highest offering of the otherwise sedate marque.
It looks like they tried a "split window" look running a seam from the windshield/roof to the mid of the rear glass. Questionable.
The mufflers are too big but I like the Italian rear valance/lamp treatment; at least in the upper portion of the rear.
Are these pictures "glamour shots" from the manufacturer? I ask because they fail to be glamorous. Who chooses snowy roads for a car that would be impossible to drive in the snow.
I find the horse logo to be cheesy. It takes away from the car trying to be something of a better C7 and makes it a Ferrari want-a-be or generally a Fiero kit car. I think this alone will be the reason the cars will not "appreciate" in value or respected exclusivity.
It's not bad looking but honestly not much retro about that frankly they could have done more styling they kept a lot of the c7. The front they just did a different grill, added a c1 looking piece on the doors and gave rounded taillights.
Too many different and contradictory features.
