Volvo 745 (wagon), can be had in a manual and probably the nicest one you find would still be less than $2500. Reliable as a rock, comes either turbo power or na but great news is you can swap an na to turbo for less than $500 (I did it for $150) in junkyard parts.

Had a 945 before. Not impressed enough to go there again, but it was neat in its own way.
I actually really like the SAAB idea. Only problem is that because they're no longer made, some insurers will refuse to cover them. YMMV.

I've never heard that one before.
I had no problem insuring mine, but I only had PL/PD put on it.

At least this one will be driveable. The last car I picked up for a GRMer was a racecar that needed towing.
Wow, I need a new wife car later this year, and was wondering if I could get into a saab for less than 3k. Of course she requires an auto for her commuter so there is that.

My first and only success at psychology.
I helped Tunawife pick out her first car when she was just Tunagirfriend, and I sort of nudged her into a stick shift, saying she could easily learn it later on. It may the the only thing that I've ever convinced her of.

Our pastor at church says that he wanted 10 kids and his wife wanted 2, so they compromised and they have 2 kids.

So those four times, plus the stick shift thing. Plus the miscarriage but that makes this icky instead of funny.
So if I'm reading between the lines right, somebody said that they wanted the accord more than you do, and you're creating a plan for if they show up with money.
If that's the case, come borrow the drivabeater for a week to take some pressure off.

You got it.
Still no money in hand. If it does happen, your plan is the best plan ever to exist.
