Living or all-time? I think iceracer had the all-time (RIP)

And I think Iceracer's father was a Stutz dealer... so maybe he came home in a Bearcat!
Paint the roof white, swap the steering wheel to the left hand side and this would be what I came home in, a 1960 Opel Rekord that my Dad bought new while he was stationed in Germany and had shipped back. His work car was a 1953 Ford Ranch Wagon, last year of the flathead V8 with a Ford -o-matic. I remember both of them, the Opel stuck around until 1966 / 67 and the wagon probably around the same time. I know he still regrets selling the wagon, the Opel was starting to rust through as most cars did back then.
1997 Subaru Impreza Brighton. His name was the scoob. My dad autocrossed and dreamed of rallying this car, their connection was nothing short of the connection between Takumi and his Trueno in Initial D. Lol. Anyway, my dad sold this car to someone. But wait, he bought the same car back. Then, a few years later, he had to sell it again. The sweet scoob is now listed on here, but it's in pieces. My sibling and I may have cried a little when we saw the listing.
My parents' only car was a '63-ish Rambler wagon, so I assume that's what I came home from the hospital in. I have very vague memories of being in the back seat of that car when my mom got rear-ended on a city street which totalled the car. The car I most associate with my early childhood is the replacement which was a '69 Mercury Colony Park wagon similar to the pic below. I took my driver's license test in that car in '83.
I think it was an early 70's avocado green maverick. Nobody really said nor did I ask. But it traded in shortly thereafter for a 76 thunderbird in dark green that I do remember.
Hmm...I'm told I came home in an old Plymouth sedan. The first car I remember riding around in was a late '50s Beetle, which we had until I was 6.
My son came home tucked into the back of a '92 Prelude...which he learned to drive 15 years later. My daughter, on the other hand, luxuriated in the back of an '85 Volvo wagon.
A late 60's SAAB 99 2-door was the primary family car. Kinda like this one, but it was more of a smurf blurple, dual round headlights, soccer ball alloys, lowered, rear trunk lid spoiler, and a big air dam/spoiler under the front bumper.
The second car was a 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 (Le Mans blue) that my dad bought new. Yes, I come by the fascination with quirky small sporty foreign cars honestly!
The Alfa looked just like this one, only minus the yellow lights, and with finned Campagnolo alloys:
Pre-1963 Beetle. Not sure what year it was, but they brought me home from the hospital in it in '63. They traded it soon after that, but I don't know for what.
Not sure What I came home in in 1951, earliest I can remember is a 52 or so Chrysler. I was sitting in the back seat when a lady driving a dump truck backed in to the street and hit our car. I was next to the window...

That is one Helluva custom whatever parked behind your chevy... Did you live in California..?
1970 Datsun 510 which lasted 9 yrs. It got very, very rusty before it was junked. We pulled the radio out of it and set it up on my Big Wheel with a lantern battery to run it.
My parents replaced the two seat Plymouth coupe in this photo with a 4 door 1948 Austin Devon while pregnant and retained the MG. I was 35 when Mom finally sold the MG. Pop between cars. I don't have a currently scanned pic of the Austin. Not sure I have one at all.
My parents brought me home from the hospital in a '71 Dodge Charger, but traded it in on a Honda Civic about six months later. Not long after they replaced the Civic with an '81 Datsun 210. I learned how to drive stick on that car, but don't have much nostalgia for it - it was pretty beat by the time I learned to drive it, with the suspension shot and not all of the original 50 horses present and accounted for.

Lots of good, fresh air for baby but looks suspiciously short of space in the back. SBC?
I came home from the hospital in a powdery-green 1964 Olds 98. I have one distinct memory of that car. We were headed to WV for the holidays and on the way out of town, someone ran a red light and peeled back the front fender. Dad exchanged insurance info with the guy, pulled into a Woolworth's parking lot, and found a steel post/bollard. He put the bollard against the back of the fender and backed up to kinda paste the fender somewhat straight and we continued to WV.
We traded it for a 73 Pontiac Ventura in electric blue. Mom hated that car because it had a lifter tick and she was convinced that it was going to leave her stranded.
I stole this photo off the internet, but the Olds looked just like this:
Dad had a 69 Chevy C10. 3 on the tree, 307 engine. Red with a white top and red vinyl. That truck carried our pickup camper and the four of us all over the country.
This stolen picture is actually a 1970, but it's the only one I could find that looked like his.

That's correct, Crown Corv-8, 327 with mechanical injection
This thread reminds me of teasing my car guy friends who are older than I am...
Them "took my Model A for a drive today".
Me "cool, are you the original owner?"
