early '80's in Fl there were drive through bars ... not just liquor stores .. in Gainesville you could drive up and order an scotch and water ... to go ....
That's pretty much spot on. I freak people out when I ask for a "coke"they keep asking if Pepsi is ok.

On Long Island, we called it gym. Seems most people elsewhere knew it as P.E.

It's sub, you berkeleying waterhead.
And PE is what the teachers/schedule called it, everyone else said gym.
