I just realized, I don't know which event to run to get a total time of all 10 laps. I've just been practicing to set the car up and only getting each lap time individually.

Damn I want in, I have something like 999,999,999,999,000 credits on my gt4 though I won't be able to update my times very often I should get some decent play time in. I'm going to copy that schedule and post my times and cars and mods for the hey of it, whenever I get the chance. Though lately I've been located where the internet is plentiful, it's not going to last for long. man I hope they didn't break my ps2 while I'm away.
Okay so I picked up a used copy of GT4 yesterday to get in on this and have a few ????'s
Is the proper area to be in arcade>time trials>Laguna? or do you play somewhere in the GT mode?
The cars you guys are using, are they cars you bought and modded thru years of playing? or are they the stock cars?
I see somebody said something about camber and spring rates, where are those options?
Help a GT newb out.
when you buy performance parts for the car, you'll be able to open up a settings screen. first thing I'd do is get my licsenes and then you'll be able to do more races, and buy more cooler cares, all this takes place in the GT mode of the game, kind of like a career mode.
Who all got some practice time in today? I'm still trying to decide what cars to really buckle down on tomorrow.
FWD: Levin BZR or Mistubishi Mirage Cyborg
AWD: ST205 Celica GT4 or Tommy Kaira ZZ-II
RWD: FD RX7 or Supra RZ

I've been practicing my RWD cars because I can't decide which to use. I'm using either a Ford GT or a Viper GTS. The Ford is a few tenths quicker on a good lap, but I don't think I can keep it on the track for 10 whole laps.

Mine is looking something like this...
FWD: SRT-4
AWD: Tommy Kiara ZZ-II
RWD: TVR Speed 12 or 300ZX Twin Turbo (Z32)
that RWD class is a fun one if you make just one tiny little mistake!

I'd already have them in, but:

There is a 10 lap race that will give me the total time, but I can't turn the tire wear off. Running a track day or something only gives me my best lap.
okay, well i am tired and my wheel isn't working for some reason, so here we go...
FWD: SRT-4 Neon, 1:21.867
4WD: Tommy Kiara ZZ-II, 1:15.373
RWD: TVR Speed 12, 1:14.180
Slow, I know, but I am totally not good with a controller.

I didn't realize that we couldn't run the ten lap totals without tire wear off. Fastest lap is fine obviously.
FWD: VW GTi, 1:20.137
4WD: Tommy Kiara ZZ-II, 1:15.821
RWD: Ford GT40, 1:16.344
Well, these are my fastest single lap times. Sounds like for this first round, we're probably just going to go off of these. You CAN run the 10 laps without tire wear, you just have to select the track on a "Track Day" through World Circuits in GT mode. We can do that for next time, and just do single lap this time.
FWD: Toyota Levin BZR: 1:18.239
AWD: Tommy Kaira ZZ-II: 1:15.688
RWD: Toyota Supra RZ: 1:16.574
RWD is FRUSTRATING. And i'm going to move to a different AWD car next track i think just to prevent a "Spec" class from forming. I'll probably continue to just focus on FWD for the most part, anyways.
Final results, then we can share secrets and stuff, then start practicing for the next one? I should get a few hours in tomorrow after i finish a timing belt on the Deathscort.
PS: Sorry i'm 3 hours late, didn't get to work as early as i wanted today.
Posting can happen any time, I just figured it would stop people from sitting in on monday and gunning the fast cars after the rest of us were at work.
I had originally bought a Saleen S7 until I found out that I couldn't add aero. Duck Fat!
I am changing ALL THREE cars as well European RWD, American FWD and Asian 4WD.
I hope there's more than just the three of us... No biggie if not, but it'd be neat to see at least 10 of us.
Do we want to award points throughout the series? 10 for 1st, 5 for 2nd, and 2 for 3rd or something?

When I run the track day, all I get are the best lap and previous lap times. It doesn't keep a total time like the 10 lap race does.
I've just been using cars I already had, and all my FWD cars suck, so I didn't even bother. Looks like I need to go build some faster cars. Good thing I've got tons of credits.
All times are with a controller, without any driving aids, and without talent:
AWD: R33 GT-R: 1:19.596
RWD: Dodge Viper GTS: 1:15.313
I only did RWD because my memory card crapped out on me.
RWD: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) 1:19.53
SLOW!
BTW, I ran that time on Sunday morning. I just posted it right now...please don't throw me out of the club.
You'll need to log in to post.
