My childhood friend's dad flew as a B-17 crew member in Europe. He told us that one plane buzzed the tower and hit the control tower. Killed the plane's crew and half a dozen guys in the tower. That ended buzzing the field for the remainder of the war...

Filmed at Duke Field, Fl. My Reserve base for 6ish years. The current base theater/auditorium is one of the buildings still standing. Flight scenes weren't filmed there, though.

Holy bork. As that started playing I was about to complain about showing a fatal accident until I saw the end of the .gif. Brought back bad memories of being in a long tail back in St. Lois on the way back from Nationals where a fully loaded semi did that to a Suburban into the back of another Semi. Result was not good as above and still haunts me. Four fatalities according to the news later. Thankfully I didn't see the occupants, but I did see a Suburban with a probably 80" wheelbase and 2" overhangs. Scares the crap out of me to this day.
I wouldn't knowingly post someone getting badly hurt or killed....
