I saw someone say somewhere that we lacked some GRM specific memes, so I figured I start off and see where this goes.
Please contribute and keep them GRM specific.

Memes don't have to be these picture based things, though, right?
Maybe I don't actually know what a meme is, but I would have figured "the answer" is a meme, as is the disproportionate amount of cool cars on Atlanta CL, and Margie's patio improvements.

Correct. A meme is a shared idea/reference common to a culture. Internet/website memes are often images, but don't have to be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_meme

You are correct. We also have some very funny threads from the past that people who've been around for a while reference occasionally. The old timers chuckle, and the newbs blink in confusion. I call those "secret memes." Examples would be the the flying miata racoon and "I couldn't love GRM the magazine or the website more", which has been recycled hundreds of times.
Uh-oh......I need to shut up now or I'll never get to drive the gremlin. (I already figure out where the "Up Dork" button is)
I couldn't love GRM the magazine or the website more, and believe me, I don't like to be the P.C police or anything or the guy who has a problem with everything thing, but I do have a problem with this... I find it a bit offensive that you use terms like “Meme" and "the answer" for your little descriptions or whatever in the discussions. I myself do not make cultural references, but I feel sensitivity for people who do, as I am a student living among them, and my Girlfriend is pursuing her masters in the field.
These terms although I'm pretty sure are not even real words, are obviously meant to resemble the words used to describe people who spend a disproportionate amount of time posting on message boards, and it appears that they are used on these boards in a joking sense which, as I view it, makes light of people who spend a lot of time here.

I have, in the past, found the original. In my opinion, it should not be linked to these days. You either were there and remember or you won't and you don't. It is however handy to pull up when you want to recycle it.
And... it appears that the archive is MIA. So maybe you can't link to the original.
You'll need to log in to post.
