The Russians are claiming the Ivan Khurs (intelligence gathering ship) was attacked near the Bosphorus Strait (Turkey)
I have one question - what was a intelligence gathering ship doing off the coast of Turkey?
That is an area, sort of, where US surveillance aircraft and drones tend to fly over and where they almost shot down a British Plane. So maybe that?
It is pretty interesting that the Russians are essentially not protecting parts of their boarder. It really shows that they are super confident Ukraine has no interest in invading them. The part that they entered by the way, is pretty much in the direction of Moscow!

Seriously, this is why I won't go into the gun thread. You might be a great guy to work on or race a car with, but this thread has colored how I see you, and I don't like that.
Expecting me to like someone that is pro censorship isn't going to happen. Name one time a pro censorship anything was the good guys. So to that I say of course you don't like me. And then I'm a previous thread you actually bragged you could be more of an E36 M3 person if you wanted to. So of course you don't like me. You don't like anyone that won't agree with you on every topic. And don't like anyone with principles that stands by them. You try and make it personal but it's an entire world view.
Sadly nothing in life including your dislike for others is nearly as complicated as you pretend it is. I'm not required to play pretend with you, therefore you don't like me. You don't like that. Okay, cool story bro! I'm honestly tired of the trope that any persons feelings trump reality. Nope, there is truth and E36 M3. Im not interested in the latter no matter how that makes you feel.

Viki all countries do this not just Russia. They were spying, that's what they all do.
The occupiers removed a WWII-era T-70 light tank from a pedestal in Melitopol. No one will be astonished if this 1942-43 battle vehicle is delivered to the front lines in a matter of days. pic.twitter.com/CXek7V2bMj

Um, excuse me. Just for the records, does that count as captured equipment?

And for everyone of your nazi/death threat there was the opposite "side" doing the same thing. The horrible things I was called, even HERE where we are supposed to be civilized. I never once told anyone what to do or how to do it, only asked questions of why not alternatives. You want to play the martyr, but you're not. No one here is.
Your persecution complex is so bad you're demanding me to see the opposing side of a terroristic threat in a thread about an ongoing war. Are you drunk?

All the pictures they show of the Khurs shows it intact and without damage- I'd say what would the purpose be of lying at this stage, but Russians are very, VERY dumb.
They're probably looking for more surveillance drones, like that one they sprayed fuel on intentionally to attempt to down. My bet would be they're trying to confirm drones and not decoys FIRST to spare flight time and strain on their dwindling airframes.

I wonder if they genuinely did pull everything just for the front; or if the propaganda of NATO is now working backwards, and your average Russian citizen is so scared of The West invading they're preemptively fleeing conflict.
In reply to GIRTHQUAKE :
You brought it up. Fair game.
im in pain but no I'm not drunk. Just tired of your E36 M3 today

Yeah but you're the one who got all triggered and butthurt over a discussion you weren't apart of lmao, grow some thicker skin bud
Ok guys don't make me start a tried of your E36 M3 because you're butthurt thread. Step away from the keyboard and keep this thread clean.
US: Ukraine was likely behind the attack on the Kremlin. Also says Ukraine may have a "loose confederation of units operating within Russia."

Says the guy that also said this
I've volunteered for the primaries multiple times, and I've worked in ICUs all throughout COVID; in the primaries I had 3 death threats to my face, then during COVID I had one about every week from an anti-masker. Got called a nazi at least twice a month, since obviously with 80% of our floor active COVID on a vent you can't be on the floor without a surgical mask. I bring that up because I feel a lot of America is a nation of fads. People don't really understand why "X is bad", they just hear it with bad connotations- and then if/when they become your average reactionary, become more than willing to turn to it since it offers easy answers. After all, Marx never wrote in how we were supposed to achieve "true communism", and Mussolini never detailed how your average Italian man was supposed to find fulfillment in the "total war" philosophies of Fascism.
At the same time, with what Texas is now allowing the Secretary of State to do in a recent law, the hammer and sickle is not too far off anymore...
There is a saying about glass houses and stones, cant think of it just now though

This thread hasnt been clean in months, but one viewpoint gets some slack and anytime another viewpoint comes up, out comes the "this thread is only about Ukraine updates" and " keep it clean guys"
In reply to Opti :
IMHO there's levels of clean. Pointing out dissenting options might not be clean to you. When you start cussing at each other then maybe that's too much.
In reply to Stampie :
No whats not clean to me is the insertion of politics and personal attacks, which has been going on for a long time in this thread. Feel free to review it. I understand its really hard, if not impossible, to talk about a major geopolitical conflict without talking politics. What Ive seen is both of these things have been happening in this thread for months. But one viewpoint is let slide, but when someone dissents from the current mainstream narrative then we start getting the posts about "keep it clean" and "this thread isnt about politics its about Ukraine updates, go make another thread."
Nobody said keep it clean when I was called a Russian sympathizer multiple times, only when bobzilla says hes sick of someones E36 M3.
Hypocrisy
If you want it to be about updates, then make it about updates that applies to everyone, if you want to inject your personal opinion and politics, dont cry when someone else does the same, but they disagree with you

I love how all governments spy is a subversive thought to many of you. The claim of openness, tolerance, and discussions are just as fake as the news many of you digest daily. And other subversive thoughts are the claim that censorship on demand is always the path of evil. Zero of you provides any evidence to the contrary but many of you are afraid to read the words or for others to read them. Sorry, I'm not joining you at the altar of political correctness. That is the path to societal decay. The race to the bottom is real. Im just asking you to lift up on the accelerator and look around and see the obvious.
Show me a country that doesn't spy and I will show you a country that lacks the ability. Show me a war that isn't evil, and I will show you peace. Show me mass censorship and I will show you a murderous government. This thread mentions the evils Stalin did. How did he do that? He took away all the guns, censored the opposition and then murdered them all and then some. It is always the same. And it will continue to happen until people break that cycle.
There is an equally horrific humanitarian crisis occurring at our own border but none of you has the minimal courage required to discuss it. Why? Going to censor that too? Going to claim you aren't afraid of simple words and then hide them again?

I think you need to read what I said above.
tried of your E36 M3 because you're butthurt
I choose those words very intentionally. I took words from bobzilla's post above and GIRTHQUAKE's post above. I find it very interesting that you think I was asking bobzilla to keep it clean and totally chose to ignore the other side of my post. When one is biased it's hard to see the forest from the trees.

Ain't a single person talking about this but you.
This is too valuable a thread to tube it. Please, let's keep it on track.
Occasionally someone here will embarrass themself. Let them. They will tire of being ignored far sooner than they will tire of quarreling with you.

You can call me biased, but when you say "start cussing at each other" and only one person cussed, im going to assume you were talking about one person.
My initial post was about this thread in general not being clean, you brought up the cussing about each other, which most people would assume is the spat between Girth and Bob in which cussing occurred. I stand by my point, and you can feel free to reread the last 40 pages of this thread and see how often personL attacks happen or politics get inserted and then see in which circumstances people started clutching their pearls about this thread being "clean." I have faith that you are intelligent and honest enough to spot a pattern.

The connotation and normal use of the word "cuss" does not agree with your interpretation, which is fine, but if you are going to try and argue semantics you should choose your words more intentionally to avoid ambiguity among your audience. To put it simply, im not your 15 year old son and I have no problem with an adult saying "butthurt" to you.

Because this isn't the thread in which to discuss those particular things. As has been said, numerous times, in numerous threads, please feel free to start a thread in which you can discuss that particular issue.
