In my opinion, I think the attitude that both sides must be to blame is part of the problem. They both share blame in the dsyfunction, but not equally.

Mebbe so. I'm trying to keep my peanut butter out of the chocolate here and just have a good time.

Besides, I'm beginning to think the tea party and the occupy movement have more in common than both sides think. You know how if you make something cold enough it starts to feel hot? It's about like that.

There's just so much blind ignorance/hatred/stupidity on both sides of this it's just plain sad. It's also reminding why we didn't bring more people into this world to deal with it.

Not only them, but all of the staffers and lobbyists. I think we need to implement a 'change the capital' amendment. Every decade or so, the Capital of the US changes suddenly. Random Staffer: What the crap, it's in Wichita now? Wouldn't that be great?

First of all, I don't love the man, I just hate deceptive presentation of information.

Secondly, what is your link supposed to impress me with? Gas prices rose 10% on January 19th from a month previous! Wow impressive. Of course he wasn't in office until the following day. Oh, I get it, BECAUSE he was going in office.

So, you are just going to ignore the over 50% drop in prices about the time of the election previous to him taking office but some how a 10% increase right before taking office is the important data point? Of course you still have the over 50% rise rise in prices over the previous 4 years.

Even your article says

But prices are still 39% lower than the same time a year ago

So why is this not Obama's "fault" also?

Do I think any of these things have anything to do with the election... NO. That's the point.

Or are you saying GasBuddy is some sort of partisan hack sight? Please, if you have other information, prove that chart wrong.

Again - I apologize, I just really hate miss-information, especially for political reasons.

That shows that the sign was correct. The actual AVERAGE gas price in the US was $1.82 the day before his inauguration. There's nothing non-factual about that. To say otherwise is to be dishonest with not only yourself but the facts.

Now.... WHY gas prices were what they were I am not going to speculate on, and did not. I merely presented facts. In this case January 19, 2009 the average gas price was $1.82 per gallon and the sign was factually correct. Obama took office the following day, January 20, 2009. Those are the facts. I am not presenting ANYTHING with any sort of political "slant".

Ohhh come on now! Really?! There is clearly NO context in that picture or statement. The implication is obvious (to most apparently)

If I was to post a picture of the gas prices on July 2008 (looks like about $4.10/gal) with the text "The prices when Bush was in office". That also is entirely factual, but you are saying it has NO political overtones or slant... come on!!

Again - I apologize

Let me make this simple for you. I did not post the picture. I could give 2 E36 M3s about who did or why they did it. When someone comes along and says that the facts presented in that picture are a lie, I looked it up. I found that it was in fact true, posted the dated evidence that supported the facts part of it and left it at that.

Just because someone doesn't want something to be true does not make it untrue. I wanted to know if that was real or fake, and in this case it is real. Whatever political gain you, or the poster of that picture want to make is all on you.

IMO, and read this carefully so there's no mix up here, I find them all to be a bunch of lying pieces of E36 M3 that have, for the last decade, set in motion events that are going to cripple the economy and the well being of our country. EVERY. SINGLE. berkeleyTARD. IN. DC. IS. RESPONSIBLE. They've had 4 berkeleying years to pass a single budget. 4. berkeleying. Years. Do you know what would happen in my job if I didn't do it for 4 years? Hell.... 4 DAYS and I would be out on the street looking for someplace else to collect a paycheck.

So no. I don't believe the almighty "O" is responsible for gas prices. I don't Believe "Bush the Idiot" was either. What they ARE responsible for is kicking the can down the road for years on end letting someone else deal with the berkeleying mess they have created.

Well that's great. One problem. I never said it was a lie! To quote myself:

me said: ...Also COMPLETELY deceptive...

Something that is deceptive can be entirely true, that is what I hate most about such things. You can check them, and they check out, but without context they can imply something completely different from what is likely the "truth".

Someone like yourself, or others here may see through these things, but many many don't. I find that very very wrong (as you may have noticed)...

....which gets me to part that we fully agree on. This is the kind of crap to idioFuctardheads in Washington do ALL the time. It frustrates me to no end (you may have noticed). Sadly I see no end to it... and it will probably get worse... they seem to be getting better at it.... sigh...

I am really contemplating just ignoring (if I possibly can) the next "election cycle" which will likely be here in a few weeks.

My younger brother is an attorney for the Fed. govt. He looks over contracts and makes sure they are correct--- no Law and Order or JAG type-- in court stuff.

After the asshats in D.C. couldn't get along the first time, he was affected by the "sequester". Now he works 4 days a week instead of 5. Great! Fridays off right? Well, not so great when you get that 20% reduction in pay.

Now he's on unpaid leave, furlough, whatever you want to call it. He's a hardworking guy, with 2 kids, a mortgage and bills to pay.

Will he be spending $$ on restaurants, or to go out with his wife? No $$ for that. Vacation somewhere? no chance. I'd imagine his community (Huntsville) will see a drastic impact not only on the govt. workers, but also on those businesses that rely on them. This isn't a big deal to those who aren't affected, but to those that are.......it's a huge stinking deal.

meanwhile the scum in D.C. who caused this problem continue to get paid......

Throw them all out. We need to look past the R and D and vote for politicians who will look out for the country first, not their political parties.
