I bought an LED face mask to wear while giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. The first custom image I'm trying to create for it is "stoned ghostface" from Scary Movie.

Im dumb, and a poor planner.

No... that's not where I'd want to go.

Okay, so green wouldn't have been my color of choice, but that guy really nailed the look.
It's hard to make a '26-'27 coupe look this right.
I don't know why, but I have been absolutely hooked on watching Kitchen Nightmares. They've got the full episodes on YouTube and I just can't stop watching. Yeah, I know it's almost completely fake, and I know that basically all of these restaurants closed, some within weeks of Ramsay's crew leaving.
But I'm addicted.

We used to watch that all the time- it's kind of like watching a train wreck.

I liked the British version better. There was more focus on making better food rather than yelling about how dirty the kitchen is, they also didn't use cheesy mood music.
My favorite one is the soul food chef from Alabama(?) setting up in Brighton, one of the few times Ramsay finished a plate. She just didn't have good business sense.
In reply to wae :
Best episodes ever is the 2 parter with crazy Amy (Amy's bakehouse)!
She and her husband are certifiably batE36 M3 crazy.

Yeah, he did have that "vibe". She's still nuttier than a fruitcake though
I've come up with an idea for a security related application, but I don't have the time, energy, or brain power to even know where to begin undertaking such a project anymore.
I am the only one in my close friend group who truly got into IT and things like Application/Software development and the like. There goes my shot at the big bucks, I guess...
Now that I'm down to every other weekend being single guy I'm doubling down. It's an ice cream and rum dinner tonight. No regrets.
I just put a down payment on a 350awhp VW because winter is coming and my truck is still broken. It's a disease...
Just found out that one of my childhood best friends passed away.
He was in Desert Storm, got kicked out of the Navy after 12 years.
The last time we hung out, 25+ years ago, he tried to pick fights with several of my friends. I had to do a lot of peacemaking.
After that, when he called and wanted to get together, I told him as long as we just hung out at my house, fine. He said he wanted to go to a bar.
I said no.
I never saw or heard from him again.
I probably could have been a better friend.

I had a good friend when I was in elementary school. Not long after, I moved away, and his family moved away in the other direction, and we lost contact.
Decades later, his younger brother (distinctive name) won a radio prize, so I thought to look my friend up with this Google thing.
Turns out, he was actually the subject of some landmark case, because he got in trouble with the law (drug charges) and he plea bargained, but was not told that the plea deal would require him to be deported, until after he was court-ordered to GTFO of the USA. He came to the US when he was six and had no family or connections in Poland...
I don't get why everyone goes gaga for hardwood floors. They're cold, you run a good chance of slipping and busting your ass on them, and they show every spec of dirt and dust and hair. My father was looking at my house and went "You could remove this carpet easy and put in hardwood floors." And my response was "Ew."
In reply to NickD :
There are hardwood floors that are older than you and I combined that are sound, functional and quite possibly still look good.
No berking way am I setting foot on a 50-60-70 year old carpet. Not even if I was wearing your feet.
There's probably hardwood under the carpet.
Hardwood + big rug > wall to wall carpet every day of the week.

The big living room carpet isn't attached down and we pulled it back and its just plywood under. Making sure it wasn't just me, I asked several people I know and pretty much got the same response on hardwood floors: cold, slippery, looks great when clean but stays clean for 5 seconds.
The only area I'll give it the advantage is in the kitchen or bathroom. If you have a carpeted bathroom or kitchen, you're quite possibly a psychopath. And, yes, I've seen carpeted kitchens.
In reply to NickD :
I have hardwood in my entire house except kitchens and bathrooms. I disagree with your analysis, but I don't have to live in your house.
I've never slipped, and I wear socks all the time, so they don't really feel cold to me. My house was built in 1966-67, so it's not like it's excessively well insulated. I vacuum about once a month, and I can run a broom around the edges in about 10 minutes if I really need to in case surprise company is coming. Plus, I think it looks 1000% better than the wall to wall the POs had installed over the original hardwood floors when I moved in.
But, again, I don't live in your house, so by all means make yours the way you like it.
