..I ......I had no idea... Craigslist here I come
I've actually been considering buying a Chrysler mini-van lately. Boring I know....but so relentlessly practical. I could camp in in, tow my boat, haul my motorcycle, grab parts at the junkyard.....and get close to 30mpg on the highway in total comfort. I don't have a wife or kids.....but the minivan still calls to me. I am not ashamed.
and to the O.P.----- The Soul is actually an enjoyable machine to drive--- no shame in that either.
Everything. Turning 16 in 2000 leaves me with a soft spot for the import tuner/sport comp look. Malaise era cars can be made awesome. Lastly I want an Elio if they get made.

They are also ridiculously fast for what they are. 0-60 in 8.2 seconds
I actually like the later Aztek's. There I said it! (The ones without the gaudy cladding and no yellow!)

Just a bit more: http://www.superstreetonline.com/features/0705-ht-2004-honda-element-d/
I rode in it one time. It was pretty awesome.
Hmm this is hard because Outliers are my taste in vehicles.
So I'll do an outlier of my outlier.
I would take a early model Corvair Sedan. With a Powerglide. Pretty much this:

You know, if the later ones were introduced now, they'd look almost normal as crossovers go...
I don't search for them, but I sorta wouldn't mind having an early Triumph Herald convertible or estate, in red please.
I think this question might have been a little more relevant on one of those "Fanboi" forums. As a guy with an MGB-GT, diesel Excursion, a Trans Am with a 5-foot wide bird decal on the hood, plus the BMW, Buick, Toyota and an Italian motorcycle, pretty much everything is an outlier.
I really don't think my friends or family would be too surprised if I brought ANY type of motorized vehicle home. On the other hand, I have been shopping Craig's hard for a used Armoire. That kinda surprised a few people.

I have owned 7 of these things.
And a few of these.
In fact I keep thinking of buying another Manual SSR and building a blown LS7 with trick flow heads and cams with dump exhausts for it.

Oh hell, you had to post that link. I own an Element (which is probably my outlier). Now I need to hide my wallet from myself.

They've never interested me in the slightest, but now I have to know -- What are they like to drive? What keeps drawing you back?
I like driving something with three pedals but a Leaf/Prius/Insight intrigues me. Also, I would drive an Element. If Ford or Nissan made a Transit Connect or NV200 with a backseat and a stick shift, I would be first in line with a deposit on one.
In reply to 92dxman:
Do it, the Leaf is awesome. Instant on, instant go, no shifting, no hesitation, no stumbling, no anything.
I can feel the wipers rock the car back and forth.
As a bonus, hitting the Leaf's Eco button to deactivate eco mode feels like a nitrus boost while accelerating.

I fall into this category as well. I am not sure when these became interesting to me as I used to hate them but for a low buck Element alternative that actually has a little power (I do mean a little power) it seems sound. Plus I have a weird interest in the 60 degree GM motors.
All of mine are sort of outliers already.
The Focus is supercharged and produces a little more than twice the stock horsepower. And who else do you know that uses a Transit Connect as their DD that is not a work vehicle.
