You do know....
NFS Tournament Class A 1.6: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/nfs-tournament-class-a.16905/
Not sure if the Lambo comes in orange.
Test cars are up on both servers. Pro put up a zip file on the google drive for each servers cars. On server 1 is a eclectic collection of cars for one off races. On server 2 is a lineup for a Porsche series. Two races with each car. We start with the 1500 spider and end with the Mobi Dick 935.
if we want to start this week with somthing I am good to go. If you all want one more week of testing I am good with that as well.
We will also need tracks for a series. If someone wants to put a list together have at it.
For tracks for the Porsches, it seems like European tracks seem appropriate and maybe older tracks. A few that might be appropriate: Österreichring (now Redbull ring), Classic Spa, Hockenheim (a 60's and 80's version) (?), Silverstone (75).
For domestic there is also a classic version of Watkins Glen (not sure the difference), Riverside would seem to be appropriate for the 911RS (IROC), classic Sebring was fun once we got used to it (lots of drinking straights), and Bridgehampton is always a good option.
Thinking out loud:
550 Spyder: Osterreichring, Bridgehampton
944: Hockenheim, Watkins Glen
911 RSR: Nurburgring GP, Riverside
935: Silverstone (75), SPA,
Another idea for a very short series: 2 races, 944's and FC RX7's at Bridgehampton. Only goal is to see how far we can go off track on the last turn. We can call it: The Real Life Dean Simulator
OK, swapped with Hockenheim. Osterreichring might be a bit big, but we will see. You can see it overlaid with the Red Bull Ring (red).
The original goes behind that hill that is outside of current T1, and is otherwise a bit more "swoopy" and more elavation change than the original. The old track behind the hill is still there BTW.
Dr Tiroch Kurve:
Be aware, the Bosche curve has no runoff... yes, that is a wall. Don't worry, your helmet and rollbar... oh never mind.
The 550 Spyder model you have up there is way old. I found a much newer one and will update the zip. This one also has a hill climb version (150 blazing HP)
We also need a second track for the 944. The Glen 75 track is no good. What is a track you ran your 944 at Dean?
Colin,
Your shirt showed up PM me an address to send it to either on here or on discord.
I took a look at it and it is way nicer than I expected for a one-off custom shirt.
Are we racing tonight for real or one more week of testing? Maybe test the Porsches at several of the tracks Air suggested.

I will have to add it to the server as well.
Tracks let's see.
Bridgehampton
The Glen (modern config both long and short)
Lime Rock (before they added the chicane at the top of the hill)
Mont-Tremblant
New Hampshire Speedway Road Course (I have looked for this track but I have not had any luck)
Summit point (the big track)
Nelson Ledges
Thompson road course. I pulled one of my old race cars out of retirement and in 2014 I took a couple of laps as it was the year it re-opened. No real racing or even timed laps just a chance to see the course as I had heard so much about it from the old timers in the 1980s
There was one up in Vermont that the farmer next door would use the E36 M3 spreader the day before the races to give it that essence of cow smell. Don't remember the name. It was a dirt oval so I did not run the 944 there. I think we ran an oval track prepared cavalier or maybe a Dodge Omni. Maybe both actually.
I couldn't make it last night. Vintage Porsches on a world tour of some European and some domestic tracks sounds like fun to me. When is the official series start?
Well... someone jingled some keys in front of Dean and he wanted to go to the park....
It is basically ready to go. The 550 can be challenging, but it does make for interesting racing. We should certainly come up with a better basic tune though (toe and brake adjustments help a lot). The 911 and 944 are solid and ready to go. There is some push back with the 935 though, it is very long legged and rather "turboy". Perhaps replace that car with a more modern 911?
I did add Watkins Glen for the second 944 race, which should be a good track for them.
911 GT3 RS (Kunos car) might be a good modern replacement for the 935. We could also run the 1200 hp 917/30 Spyder (!) or the 917K (600 hp). Which of course are full on race cars, and might make a good finish.
I would suggest we load up Spa or Silverstone with the 911 GT3 RS, 917k and 917/30 and see which one is most appropriate. I did already create the race poster for the first 3 races:
It looks like there is future potential for an RX7 vs 944 race, but it still needs some work.
And of course, Lambo vs Testical likely has potential.
We could replace it with either a GT3 911 (probably not much different from the RSR) or go to another race car. If we bribe Pro mayby he can refine the 935 a bit or open up tuning on it with respect to the gears and or some of the other settings. Or just make a better baseline car. Maybe a tad better brakes. It i had GT3 brakes on it that would be nice but obviously not period correct but on the other hand if we were driving the car today we would be putting better pads on it than what we used in the 80's
Part of my theme for the Porsches was to keep them all older cars say from the 1950's up into the 80's. I was thinking that this would leave us all the modern cars from the 90's up to play with in the future (a possible repeat but with modern cars starting with the Boxster or a base 911 from the 90's going all the way up to an LMP car or something. Maby put things like one of their SUV's like the Cayenne. We would want the Panamera (or not) and what ever other more modern ones we could find.
The 917k might be worth a look then. 600hp shouldn't be to bad?
924 (388hp) no idea if the model is any good:?

I will do some more work on the RX-7 "Cup" variant, but I would like it if some could spend some time with the current car to try and work out a good setup. Whats there now is very "slidey", but my last lap on the race I did with it was still within a second of the fastest 944 time. Something more predictable and precise could really help. I like the "imbalance" of speed and cornering between the two.
I found these but I think they may be a little to new. I need to look at the years of production.
Or even this.
Or???
So a little more looking. The 993 is a 90's car. I should have known that. But the other two fit into this series perfectly. The 936c is from the 70's so I am betting it will be a handful (but fun). The 961 could be a fun car. Not sure how it would slot in with the others in terms of performance.
The 917 K should be fine. I tested it and can even drive it with a controller. I put the 924 on the drive. It seems to be a decent car, with 3 different power levels (depending on class)
If we don't want to start next week, we can test the 917 K (tune as needed) and some other cars, and take some time to make sure everyone has a decent tune for the 550 and maybe do some more testing with the RX7 / 944's.
The tracks anyone might need are up on the drive named by week.
