Must... not... bid... on... Rolls.....
In recent years, television viewership has been a tough nut for sports car racing to crack. Even though there isn’t any concussion scandal and the players move faster, races like IMSA’s Rolex 24 At Daytona just don’t draw the viewers that the NFL does.
It looks like IMSA has a plan to fix that, and it revolves around personalities, not cars. Check out their latest ad above, which is hyping the rivalry between the Taylor brothers (Ricky and Jordan).
Let us know in the comments if you think this strategy will work. Will you be watching the Rolex 24, either in person or on TV?
What do professional racer Johan Schwartz and BMW have in common? Apparently, it’s a total disregard for tires. After setting the Guinness World Record for the Longest Continuous Drift in 2013, BMW dropped this teaser over the weekend. We can’t wait to see what happens next.
At least, it isn’t if you’re shopping in the Northeast. Not only are there Sandy-like floods, but they’re frozen solid, too. Neat! Check out Jalopnik’s article about the Bomb Cyclone’s effects here.

We’re betting you didn’t even realize you needed a “1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II Turbo 4-Speed.”
“Modifications include a twin-scroll turbocharger, large bumper-mounted intercooler, welded rear differential, trunk-mounted radiator, 19? Porsche Panamera wheels, and much more. The seller states that approximately $20k was spent on parts and fabrication, which included adding a custom flywheel from AASCO in Anaheim, California, King off-road coilover shocks, a 20-gallon fuel cell, and a custom exhaust from Deeds Performance in Chatsworth.”
Full details are in the Bring A Trailer Auction, with bidding currently at $7810.
I just watched the One Take drive of that Rolls this weekend.
It makes me want to build something equally ridiculous.
In reply to Tom Suddard :
But think of the magazine content that such a purchase would provide.........
The magazine content would probably be better if they weren't starting with something so hacked up. And it's not all bad but good lord it looks stupid. My two cents, I'm sure someone's going to tell me I'm a fool for saying they semi-ruined the car.

It's the coolant lines or whatever they are running over the roof that kill it for me. Otherwise, I'd be sporting a semi-chub at least.
