#FastFriday: More UTCC Contenders, Including a Stock Car, C8 Corvette, Skyline GT-R and a Subaru Wagon?

Our Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge—our annual no-holds-barred track competition—is just around the corner: July 31 at Virginia International Raceway.

The best part? Rules for the UTCC are simple: Car and driver must just pass a NASA safety inspection. Period.

So far, we have more than 50 cars entered. Here are some more of our favorites:

First up is Jenn Krpata's 2006 Chevrolet Impala SS. While originally built for oval racing, can this converted stock car run with the pack?

GSpeed will be attending the UTCC in a virtually bone-stock 2020 Corvette Z51. Will he new mid-engined Corvette live up to the hype as the new American supercar?

GT-Rs and road racing pretty much go hand-in-hand, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise to see Gary Burris Jr. entering a 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Is the iconic combo of twin-turbocharged RB26 and ATTESA all-wheel-drive system enough to pull ahead on track?

Don't let Delmar Dale's 2008 Subaru Outback XT think that there is a stock car running in the UTCC. In fact, it's really a 460-horsepower, all-wheel-drive machine packed with mods. Will this sleeper catch the competition by surprise?

View these cars, along with the rest of the field, on the UTCC website. Think you have what it takes to win? Register your car for the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge here.

The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Tire Rack in association with Wilwood Disc Brakes and XClutch, with trophies from BimmerWorldFalken TireHoosier TireSPA Technique and Aeromotive.

As a fan and consumer of quick wagons that is a exceptionally cool looking Subie wagon.
