Where can you find a Porsche GT car like the one that won Le Mans, an F1-powered Supra and many other crazy rides competing in something totally out of their element, like on ice? The F.A.T. Ice Race Aspen Driven by Mobil 1 this weekend, February 8-10.

What does the entry list look like?

  • Porsche 911 GT1-98: the car that won the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be driving by Stéphane Ortelli, who won with it.
  • Formula Supra: A fifth-generation Supra powered by an 11,000-rpm Formula 1 engine. Build by Formula Drift legend Ryan Tuerck.
  • Hoonipigasus: The 1400-horsepower Porsche SVRSR developed by Ken Block to take on Pikes Peak.
  • Porsche 914 Safari: Built by two-time Le Mans winner and Luftgekühlt founder Patrick Long.
  • Lucy: A Porsche GT3 TurboCup that will head to Unser Mountain with a fourth-generation Unser, Loni Unser.
  • Toyota GR Cup: Yes, the GR86 built to race in the single-make Toyota GR Cup Series.
  • Toyota Stout: This vintage Toyota pickup puts out 600 horsepower from a 3SGTE engine.
  • Nissan Safari Rally Z Tribute: It pays homage to the Datsun 240Z that won the Safari Rally. Driven by three-time Formula Drift champ Chris Forsberg.
  • Half11: Oilstainlab designed this half-Porsche, half-F1 car.
  • Mobil 1 x Eurowise UA Overlander Porsche Cayenne: Eurowise built this car to tackle highways or roads less traveled.
  • Corvette E-Ray: The first electrified Corvette is actually the fastest production Corvette to date, achieving a zero-to-60 time of 2.5 seconds.
  • SV Rover: Four-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steering, mid-engine, supercharged V8 SUV built by Scarbo Vintage.
  • 2025 Cadillac CTV-5: Luxurious, comfortable and powerful is how the automaker is touting it.

What’s your favorite? What do you feel will do the best on the ice?

They're taking a lesson from Formula 1 - day tickets are $1,911 per day and the weekend pass is $7,800. No joke.

In reply to BoulderG :

That's definitely higher than many tickets for Monterey Car Week. I guess they want a very select clientele present.

I don't think they own the mountain. Take a hike to vantage point and they can f-off
