Good luck.
You know, if I was 30 years younger I'd have been all over this. I ran the video cameras for the school sports teams and the band through high school and used to be pretty good at it.
Now? No way. Things have changed a good bit since VHS and I'm too used to sleeping in my own bed at night.
I'd send it to our social media guy / videographer at work, he's good enough but he's just not a car guy. The gear heads would eat him alive. He'd end up crying in his ancient Prius.
I sent it to a local person who's totally capable of doing it, has the experience, is a stellar editor is passionate about cars and racing, is miserable at his current digital media coordinator position (it's not the job, it's the people) but he's too complacent to be the change he wants to see.
Wow, I echo the 30 years ago comment. I began my career as a video producer, even covered some Motorsports events like the One Lap of America. It sucked in the days of 3/4SP and linear editing, but today, you could travel with a few small anvil cases with 4K cameras and drones, edit back in the hotel room on a Macbook...it would be pretty epic. I hope some 25-year old jumps on this and has the time of their life!
